Dua Noor Kabir

Text and Translation

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا نُوْرَ النُّوْرِ تَنَوَّرْتَ بِالنُّوْرِ وَالنُّوْرُ فِی نُوْرِ نُوْرِكَ یَا نُوْرُ

O Allah! O Light of light! You are radiant through light, and light lies within the light of Your light, O Light!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا عَزِیْزُ تَعَزَّزْتَ بِالْعِزِّۃِ وَالْعِزَّۃُ فِی عِزَّۃِ عِزَّتِكَ یَا عَزِیْزُ

O Allah! O Mighty! You are mighty through might, and might lies within the might of Your might, O Mighty!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا جَلِیْلُ تَجَلَّلْتَ بِالْجَلَالِ وَالْجَلَالُ فِیْ جَلَالِ جَلَالِكَ یَا جَلِیْلُ

O Allah! O Majestic! You are majestic through majesty, and majesty lies within the majesty of Your majesty, O Majestic!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا وَهَّابُ تَوَهَّبْتَ بِالْهِبَۃِ وَالْهِبَۃُ فِیْ هِبَۃِ هِبَتِكَ یَا وَهَّابُ

O Allah! O Bestower! You are bountiful through bestowal, and bestowal lies within the bestowal of Your bestowal, O Bestower!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا عَظِیْمُ تَعَظَّمْتَ بِالْعَظَمَۃِ وَالْعَظَمَۃُ فِیْ عَظَمَۃِ عَظَمَتِكَ یَا عَظِیْمُ

O Allah! O Great! You are great through greatness, and greatness lies within the greatness of Your greatness, O Great!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا عِلِیْمُ تَعَلَّمْتَ بِالْعِلْمِ وَالْعِلْمُ فِیْ عِلْمِ عِلْمِكَ یَا عَلِیْمُ

O Allah! O All-Knowing! You are knowing through knowledge, and knowledge lies within the knowledge of Your knowledge, O All-Knowing!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا قُدُّوْسُ تَقَدَّسْتَ بِالْقُدْسِ وَالْقُدْسُ فِی قُدْسِ قُدْسِكَ یَا قُدُّوْسُ

O Allah! O Holy! You are holy through holiness, and holiness lies within the holiness of Your holiness, O Holy!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا جَمِیْلُ تَجَمَّلْتَ بِالْجِمَالِ وَالْجَمَالُ فِیْ جَمَالِ جَمَالِكَ یَا جَمِیْلُ

O Allah! O Beautiful! You are beautiful through beauty, and beauty lies within the beauty of Your beauty, O Beautiful!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا سَلَامُ تَسَلَّمْتَ بِالسَّلَامِ وَالسَّلَامُ فِیْ سَلَامِ سَلَامِكَ یَا سَلَامُ

O Allah! O Source of Peace! You are peace itself through peace, and peace lies within the peace of Your peace, O Source of Peace!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا صَبُوْرُ تَصَبَّرْتَ بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّبْرُ فِیْ صَبْرِ صَبْرِكَ یَا صَبُوْرُ

O Allah! O Patient! You are patient through patience, and patience lies within the patience of Your patience, O Patient!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا مَلِیْكُ تَمَلَّكْتَ بِالْمَلَكُوْتِ وَالْمَلَكُوْتُ فِیْ مَلَكُوْتِ مَلَكُوْتِ وَالْمَلَكُوْتُ فِیْ مَلَكُوْتِ مَلَكُوْتِكَ یَا مَلِیْكُ

O Allah! O King! You are sovereign through sovereignty, and sovereignty lies within the sovereignty of Your sovereignty, O King!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا رَبُّ تَرَبَّیْتَ بِالرَّبُوْبِیَّۃِ وَالرَّبُوْبِیَّۃُ فِیْ رَبُوْبِیَّۃِ رَبُوْبِیَّتِكَ یَا رَبُّ

O Allah! O Lord! You are Lord through lordship, and lordship lies within the lordship of Your lordship, O Lord!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا مَنَّانُ تَمَنَّنْتَ بِالْمِنَّۃِ وَالْمِنَّۃُ فِیْ مِنَّۃِ مِنَّتِكَ یَا مَنَّانُ

O Allah! O Bestower of favours! You are gracious through favour, and favour lies within the favour of Your favour, O Bestower of favours!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا حَكِیْمُ تَحَكَّمْتَ بِالْحِكْمَۃِ وَالْحِكْمَۃُ فِیْ حِكْمَۃِ حِكْمَتِكَ یَا حَكِیْمُ

O Allah! O Wise! You are wise through wisdom, and wisdom lies within the wisdom of Your wisdom, O Wise!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا حَمِیْدُ تَحَمَّدْتَّ بِالْحَمْدِ وَالْحَمْدُ فِیْ حَمْدِ حَمْدِكَ یَا حَمِیْدُ

O Allah! O Praiseworthy! You are praised through praise, and praise lies within the praise of Your praise, O Praiseworthy!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَاوَاحِدُ تَوَحَّدْتَّ بِالْوَحْدَانِیَّۃِ وَالْوَحْدَانِیَّۃُ فِیْ وَحْدَانِیَّۃِ وَحْدَانِیَّتِكَ یَا وَاحِدُ

O Allah! O One! You are one through oneness, and oneness lies within the oneness of Your oneness, O One!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا فَرْدُ تَفَرَّدْتَّ بِالْفَرْدَانِیَّۃِ وَالْفَرْدانِیَّۃُ فِیْ فَرْدَانِیَّۃِ فَرْدَانِیَّتِكَ یَا فَرْدُ

O Allah! O Unique! You are unique through uniqueness, and uniqueness lies within the uniqueness of Your uniqueness, O Unique!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا حَلِیْمُ تَحَلَّمْتَ بِالْحِلْمِ وَالْحِلْمُ فِیْ حِلْمِ حِلْمِكَ یَا حَلِیْمُ

O Allah! O Forbearing! You are forbearing through forbearance, and forbearance lies within the forbearance of Your forbearance, O Forbearing!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا قَدِیْرُ تَقَدَّرْتَ بِالْقُدْرَۃِ وَالْقُدْرَۃُ فِیْ قُدْرَۃِ قُدْرَتِكَ یَا قَدِیْرُ

O Allah! O All-Powerful! You are powerful through power, and power lies within the power of Your power, O All-Powerful!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا قَدِیْمُ تَقَدَّمْتَ بِالْقِدَمِ وَالْقِدَمُ فِیْ قِدَمِ قِدَمِكَ یَا قَدِیْمُ

O Allah! O Eternal! You are eternal through eternity, and eternity lies within the eternity of Your eternity, O Eternal!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا شَاهِدُ تَشَهَّدْتَّ بِالشَّهَادَۃِ وَالشَّهَادَۃُ فِیْ شَهَادَۃِ شَهَادَتِكَ یَا شَاهِدُ

O Allah! O Witness! You are witnessing through witnessing, and witnessing lies within the witnessing of Your witnessing, O Witness!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا قَرِیْبُ تَقَرَّبْتَ بِالْقُرْبِ وَالْقُرْبُ فِیْ قُرْبِ قُرْبِكَ یَا قَرِیْبُ

O Allah! O Near! You are near through nearness, and nearness lies within the nearness of Your nearness, O Near!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا نَصِیْرُ تَنَصَّرْتَ بِالنُّصْرَۃِ وَالنُّصْرَۃُ فِیْ نُصْرَۃِ نُصْرَتِكَ یَا نَصِیْرُ

O Allah! O Helper! You are helping through help, and help lies within the help of Your help, O Helper!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا سَتَّارُ تَسَتَّرْتَ بِالسَّتْرِ وَالسَّتْرُ فِیْ سَتْرِ سَتْرِكَ یَا سَتَّارُ

O Allah! O Concealer! You are concealing through concealment, and concealment lies within the concealment of Your concealment, O Concealer!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا قَهَّارُ تَقَهَّرْتَ بِالْقَهْرِ وَالْقَهْرُ فِیْ قَهْرِ قَهْرِكَ یَا قَهَّارُ

O Allah! O Subduer! You are subduing through subjugation, and subjugation lies within the subjugation of Your subjugation, O Subduer!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا رَازِقُ تَرَزَّقْتَ بِالرِّزْقِ وَالرِّزْقُ فِیْ رِزْقِ رِزْقِكَ یَا رَزَّاقُ

O Allah! O Provider! You are providing through provision, and provision lies within the provision of Your provision, O Provider!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا خَالِقُ تَخَلَّقْتَ بِالْخَلْقِ وَالْخَلْقُ فِیْ خَلْقِ خَلْقِكَ یَا خَلَّاقُ

O Allah! O Creator! You are creating through creation, and creation lies within the creation of Your creation, O Creator!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا فَتَّاحُ تَفَتَّحْتَ بِالْفَتْحِ وَالْفَتْحُ فِیْ فَتْحِ فَتْحِكَ یَا فَتَّاحُ

O Allah! O Opener! You are opening through opening, and opening lies within the opening of Your opening, O Opener!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا رَفِیْعُ تَرَفَّعْتَ بِالرِّفْعَۃِ وَالرِّفْعَۃُ فِیْ رِفْعَۃِ رِفْعَتِكَ یَا رَفِیْعُ

O Allah! O Exalted! You are exalted through exaltation, and exaltation lies within the exaltation of Your exaltation, O Exalted!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا حَفِیْظُ تَحَفَّظْتَ بِالْحِفْظِ وَالْحِفْظُ فِیْ حِفْظِ حِفْظِكَ یَا حَفِیْظُ

O Allah! O Protector! You are protecting through protection, and protection lies within the protection of Your protection, O Protector!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا فَاضِلُ تَفَضَّلْتَ بِالْفَضْلِ وَالْفَضْلُ فِیْ فَضْلِ فَضْلِكَ یَا فَاضِلُ

O Allah! O Bountiful! You are bountiful through bounty, and bounty lies within the bounty of Your bounty, O Bountiful!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا وَاصِلُ تَوَصَّلْتَ بِالْوَصْلِ وَالْوَصْلُ فِیْ وَصْلِ وَصْلِكَ یَا وَاصِلُ

O Allah! O Joiner! You are joining through union, and union lies within the union of Your union, O Joiner!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا فَاعِلُ تَفَعَّلْتَ بِالْفِعْلِ وَالْفِعْلُ فِیْ فِعْلِ فِعْلِكَ یَا فَاعِلُ

O Allah! O Doer! You are acting through action, and action lies within the action of Your action, O Doer!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا فَارِضُ تَفَرَّضْتَ بِالْفَرْضِ وَالْفَرْضُ فِیْ فَرْضِ فَرْضِكَ یَا فَارِضُ

O Allah! O Ordainer! You are ordaining through ordainment, and ordainment lies within the ordainment of Your ordainment, O Ordainer!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا غَفَّارُ تَغَفَّرْتَ بِالْمَغْفِرَۃِ وَالْمَغْفِرَۃُ فِیْ مَغْفِرَۃِ مَغْفِرَتِكَ یَا غَفَّارُ

O Allah! O Forgiver! You are forgiving through forgiveness, and forgiveness lies within the forgiveness of Your forgiveness, O Forgiver!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا جَبَّارُ تَجَبَّرْتَ بِالْجَبَرُوْتِ وَالْجَبَرُوْتُ فِیْ جَبَرُوْتِ جَبَرُوْتِكَ یَا جَبَّارُ

O Allah! O Compeller! You are compelling through omnipotence, and omnipotence lies within the omnipotence of Your omnipotence, O Compeller!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا سَمِیْعُ تَسَمَّعْتَ بِالسَّمْعِ وَالسَّمْعُ فِیْ سَمْعِ سَمْعِكَ یَا سَمِیْعُ

O Allah! O All-Hearing! You are hearing through hearing, and hearing lies within the hearing of Your hearing, O All-Hearing!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا كَبِیْرُ تَكَبَّرْتَ بِالْكِبْرِیَآءِ وَالْكِبْرِیَآءُ فِیْ كِبْرِیَآءِ كِبْرِیَآءِكَ یَا كَبِیْرُ

O Allah! O Great! You are great through grandeur, and grandeur lies within the grandeur of Your grandeur, O Great!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَاكَرِیْمُ تَكَرَّمْتَ بِالْكَرَمِ وَالْكَرَمُ فِیْ كَرَمِ كَرَمِكَ یَا كَرِیْمُ

O Allah! O Generous! You are generous through generosity, and generosity lies within the generosity of Your generosity, O Generous!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا رَحِیْمُ تَرَحَّمْتَ بِالرَّحْمَۃِ وَالرَّحْمُ فِیْ رَحْمِ رَحْمِكَ یَا رَحِیْمُ

O Allah! O Merciful! You are merciful through mercy, and mercy lies within the mercy of Your mercy, O Merciful!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا مَجِیْدُ تَمَجَّدْتَّ بِالْمَجْدِ وَالْمَجْدُفِیْ مَجْدِ مَجْدِكَ یَا مَجِیْدُ

O Allah! O Glorious! You are glorious through glory, and glory lies within the glory of Your glory, O Glorious!

اَللّٰهُمَّ یَا مُجِیْبُ یَا اَللهُ یَا رَحْمٰنُ یَا رَحِیْمُ یَا حَیُّ یَا حَلِیْمُ یَا عَزِیْزُ یَا نُوْرَ النُّوْرِ یَا لآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ عَلَیْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیْمِ

O Answerer! O Allah! O All-beneficent! O All-merciful! O Ever-living! O Forbearing! O Mighty! O Light of light! O He besides Whom there is no god; in Him I trust, and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الْوَهَّابِ سُبْحَانَ الْمَجِیْدِ سُبْحَانَ الصَّبْرِ سُبْحَانَ الْبَصِیْرِ

Praise be to Allah, the Bestower! Glory be to the Glorious! Glory be to the Patient One! Glory be to the All-Seeing!

سُبْحَانَ الْمَانِعِ سُبْحَانَ الْقَیُّوْمِ سُبْحَانَ الْبَرِّ سُبْحَانَ الْمُعَافِیْ

Glory be to the Withholder! Glory be to the Self-Subsisting! Glory be to the Benign! Glory be to the Giver of well-being!

سُبْحَانَ الْاَوَّلِ سُبْحَانَ الْمُعِزِّ سُبْحَانَ الظَاهِرِ سُبْحَانَ الشَّافِیْ

Glory be to the First! Glory be to the Giver of honour! Glory be to the Manifest! Glory be to the Healer!

سُبْحَانَ الْكَافِیْ سُبْحَانَ السَّلَامِ سُبْحَانَ الْمُؤْمِنِ سُبْحَانَ الْمُهَیْمِنِ

Glory be to the Sufficer! Glory be to the Source of Peace! Glory be to the Giver of Security! Glory be to the Guardian!

سُبْحَانَ الْمُصَوِّرِ سُبْحَانَ النَّاصِرِ سُبْحَانَ الْوَاحِدِ سُبْحَانَ الْاَحَدِ

Glory be to the Fashioner! Glory be to the Helper! Glory be to the One! Glory be to the Unique!

سُبْحَانَ الْفَرْدِ سُبْحَانَ الرَّحِیْمِ سُبْحَانَ الْمُؤَخِّرِ سُبْحَانَ الْمُقَدِّمِ

Glory be to the Single! Glory be to the Merciful! Glory be to the Delayer! Glory be to the Advancer!

سُبْحَانَ الضَّآرِّ سُبْحَانَ النُّوْرِ سُبْحَانَ الْهَادِیْ سُبْحَانَ الْمُقَدِّرِ

Glory be to the One Who can harm! Glory be to the Light! Glory be to the Guide! Glory be to the Determiner!

سُبْحَانَ الْجَلِیْلِ سُبْحَانَ الْمَجِیْدِ سُبْحَانَ الرَّقِیْبِ

Glory be to the Majestic! Glory be to the Glorious! Glory be to the Watcher!

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ وَلآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ

Glory be to Allah, all praise is for Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest,

وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّۃَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِیِّ الْعَظِیْمِ

and there is no power and no strength except with Allah, the Most High, the All-magnificent.

سُبْحَانَ مَنْ یَّشَآءُ بِقُدْرَتِهٖ وَیَعْلَمُ مَا یُرِیْدُ بِعِزَّتِهٖ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهٖ

Glory be to Him Who wills by His power and knows what He intends by His might; glory be to Allah and praise be to Him.

سُبْحَانَ ذِی الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیْمِ وَالْهَیْبَۃِ وَالْقُدْرَۃِ وَالْكِبْرِیَآءِ وَالْجَبَرُوْتِ

Glory be to the Lord of the Mighty Throne, and of awe, power, grandeur and omnipotence.

سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْمَقْصُوْدِ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْمَوْجُوْدِ سُبْحَانَ الْحَیِّ الْحَكِیْمِ

Glory be to the King Who is sought! Glory be to the King Who ever exists! Glory be to the Ever-living, the Wise!

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَی الْحَیِّ الَّذِیْ لَا یَمُوْتُ سُبُّوْحٌ قُدُّوْسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلآئِكَۃِ وَالرُّوْحِ

Glory be to Allah; I place my trust in the Ever-living Who does not die; All-glorified, All-holy, Lord of the angels and the Spirit.

لآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهٗ لَا شَرِیْكَ لَهٗ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ

There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner; His is the kingdom and His is the praise, and He has power over all things.

یَا اَللهُ یَا رَحْمٰنُ یَا رَحِیْمُ یَا حَیّ یَا قَیُّوْمُ یَا ذَالْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ

O Allah! O All-beneficent! O All-merciful! O Ever-living! O Self-subsisting! O Possessor of Majesty and Honour!

یَا نُوْرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ یَا لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ عَلَیْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ

O Light of the heavens and the earth! O He besides Whom there is no god! In You I place my trust,

وَاَنْتَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِیْمِ اَللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْلِیْ بِحُرْمَۃِ هٰذِهِ الْاَسْمَآءِ

and You are the Lord of the Mighty Throne. O Allah, forgive me by the sanctity of these Names,

وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّی الضَّرَّآءَ وَالْبَلآءَ وَالْهُمُوْمَ وَالْغُمُوْمَ وَجَمِیْعَ الْاٰفَاتِ

and turn away from me hardship, affliction, worries, griefs and all calamities,

وَمِنْ اَوْلَادِیْ وَاٰبَآئِیْ وَاُمَّهَاتِیْ وَاَقْرِبَآئِیْ وَعَشِیْرَتِیْ

and from my children, my fathers, my mothers, my relatives and my kin,

فَاِنَّ عَلَیْكَ فِیْ جَمِیْعِ الْاُمُوْرِ اعْتِمَادِیْ

for in all affairs my reliance is upon You.

وَالصَّلوٰۃُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلٰی خَیْرِ خَلْقِهٖ مُحَمَدٍ وَاٰلِهٖ اَجْمَعِیْنَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْنَ.

And blessings and peace be upon the best of His creation, Muhammad, and all his Household, by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
