Text and Translation

Perform the Noon Prayer at the beginning of its time; but first, when it is midday (zuhr), recite this doxology (zikr):

SUBHAANAL LAAHI WA LAAA ILAAHA ILLAL LAAHU WAL HAMDU LILLAAHIL LAZEE LAM YATTAKHIZ SAAHIBATAW WA LAA WALADAW WA LAM YAKUL LAHU SHAREEKUN FIL MULKI WA LAM YAKUL LAHU WALIYYUM MINAZ ZULLI WA KABBIRHU TAKBEERAA.

Glory be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and praise be to Allah, Who has taken no consort and no son, has no partner in dominion, and needs no protector out of weakness; so magnify Him with the greatest magnification.

If you have not yet performed the ritual ablution, hurry to do so and observe the [Etiquettes of the Noon (Zuhr) Prayer](I21).
