Dua after Fajr & Maghrib: For those suffering from eye aches, many traditions have recommended saying this supplicatory prayer after the ritual obligatory prayers of dawn (fajr) and sunset (maghrib):
Imam al-Sadiq's amulet: Al-Bizanti reported Yunus ibn Zabyan as saying: one day we visited Imam al-Sadiq (a) and found him tensely sore-eyed, so we were troubled. The next morning, we visited him while he was completely healed. Surprised, we asked him, "May Allah accept us as ransoms for you! Have you treated your eyes with a certain medicine?" The Imam answered, "Yes, I have; I have treated them with the best of all medicines." "What is that?" we asked. The Imam (a) answered, "It is a supplicatory amulet." We therefore wrote down that supplicatory amulet. When we asked the Imam (a) about the meaning of jam'allah, he said, "It means the wholeness of Allah."
Ayat al-Kursi: It is also reported that one who suffers from eye pains may recite Ayat al-Kursi and believe inwardly that reciting this holy verse will cure him of that pain. This will be useful.
Night blindness: Those who suffer from nyctalopia are recommended to write down [Ayah al-Nur](A28) several times on a sheet of paper into a cup, wash it, put it in a flask, and use it as eye ointment.
Strong sight and the daily verse: It is also reported that whoever recites the Holy Qur'an from copies of the Holy Qur'an will enjoy strong sight. It is also reported that whoever repeats this holy verse every day, his eyes will be saved from all optical troubles.
Seeking the advocacy of Imam al-Kazim (a): Al-Kaf'ami says: according to experience, seeking the advocacy of Imam Musa al-Kazim (a) is useful for the cure of eye pains as well as the troubles of other organs.
