Ziyarat at the Holy Sardab (Occultation Cellar) — Samarra

Text and Translation

Ziyarat Rabi al-Anam

Seek permission to enter the holy cellar of the Imams (a.s.) by saying:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ هٰذِهِ بُقْعَةٌ طَهَّرْتَهَا وَعَقْوَةٌ شَرَّفْتَهَا

ALLAAHUMMA INNA HAAZEHI BUQ-A’TUN TAHHARTAHAA WA A’QWATUN SHARRAFTAHAA

O Allah, this is a land You have purified and a place You have honored

وَمَعَالِمُ زَكَّيْتَهَا، حَيْثُ اَظْهَرْتَ فِيْهَا اَدِلَّةَ التَّوْحِيْدِ

WA MA-A’ALEMO ZAKKAYTAHAA HAYSO AZHARTA FEEHAA ADILLATAT TAWHEEDE

And landmarks You have sanctified, where You showed signs of unity

وَاَشْبَاحَ الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيْدِ، الَّذِيْنَ اصْطَفَيْتَهُمْ مُلُوكاً لِحِفْظِ النِّظَامِ

WA ASHBAAHAL A’RSHIL MAJEEDIL LAZEENAS TAFAYTAHUM MOLOOKAL LE-HIFZIN NEZAAME

And the spirits of the glorious Throne, whom You chose as kings to preserve order

وَاخْتَرْتَهٗمْ رُؤَسَاءَ لِجَمِيْعِ الْاَنَامِ، وَبَعَثْتَهُمْ لِقِيَامِ الْقِسْطِ

WAKH TARTAHUM RO-ASAAA-A LE-JAMEE-I’L ANAAME WA BA-A’STAHUM LE-QEYAAMIL QISTE

You chose them as leaders for all people, and sent them to establish justice

فِىْ البْتِدَاءِ الْوُجُودِ الىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

FIB TEDAAA-IL WOJOODE ELAA YAWMIL QEYAAMATE

From the beginning of existence until the Day of Resurrection

ثُمَّ مَنَنْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِاسْتِنَابَةِ أنْبِيَائِكَ لِحِفْظِ شَرَائِعِكَ

SUMMA MANANTA A’LAYHIM BISTENAABATE ANBEYAAA-EKA LE-HIFZE SHARAAA-E-E’KA

Then You favored them by appointing Your prophets to preserve Your laws

وَأحْكَامِكَ، فَأكْمَلْتة بِاسْتِخْتِلَافِهِمْ رِسَالَةَ الْمُنذِرِيْنَ

WA AHKAAMEKA FA-AKMALTAHU BIKH TELAAFEHIM RESAALATAL MUNZEREENA

And Your rules, and completed it with the succession of warners’ message

كَمَا اَوْجَبْتَ رِيَاسَتَهُمْ فِىْ فَطْرِ الْمُكَلَّفِيْنَ

KAMAA AWJABTA REYAASATAHUM FEE FATRIL MOKALLAFEENA

As You made their leadership obligatory for those responsible

فَسُبْحَانَكَ مِنْ اِلٰهٍ مَا اَرْءَفَكَ، وَلَا الٰهَ اِلَّا اَنْتَ

FASUBHAANAKA MIN ELAAHIM MAA AR-AFAKA WA LAA ELAAHA ILLAA ANTA

Glory be to You, O God, how compassionate You are! There is no god but You

مِنْ مَلَكٍ مَا اَعْدَلَكَ، حَيْثُ طَابَقَ صُنْعُكَ مَا فَطَرْتَ عَلَيْهِ الْعُقُولَ

MIM MALAKIM MAA A-A’DALAKA HAYSO TAABAQA SUN-O’KA MAA FATARTA A’LAYHIL O’QOOLA

How just You are as King, as Your creation matches what You instilled in minds

وَوَافَقَ حُكْمُكَ مَا قَرَّرْتَهٗ فِىْ الْمَعْقُولِ وَالْمَنْقُولِ

WA WAAFAQA HUKMOKA MAA QARRARTAHU FIL MA’QOOLE WAL MANQOOLE

And Your judgment agrees with what You established in reason and tradition

فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ عَلىٰ تَقْدِيْرِكَ الْحَسَنِ الْجَمِيْلِ

FALAKAL HAMDO A’LAA TAQDEEREKAL HASANIL JAMEELE

So praise be to You for Your good and beautiful decree

وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ عَلىٰ قَضَائِكَ الْمُعَلَّلِ بِاَكْمَلِ التَّعْلِيْلِ

WA LAKASH SHUKRO A’LAA QAZAAA-EKAL MO-A’LLALE BE-AKMALIT TA’LEELE

And thanks be to You for Your judgment, explained with perfect reasoning

فَسُبْحَانَ مَنْ لَا يُسْئَلُ عَنْ فِعْلِهٖ وَلايُنازَعُ فِىْ أمْرِهٖ

FASUBHAANA MAL LAA YUS-ALO A’N FE’LEHI WA LAA YONAAZA-O’ FEE AMREHI

Glory be to Him who is not questioned about His actions, nor opposed in His command

وَسُبْحَانَ مَنْ كَتَبَ عَلىٰ نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ قَبْلَ ابْتِدَاءِ خَلْقِهٖ

WA SUBHAANA MAN KATABA A’LAA NAFSEHIR RAHMATA QABLAB TEDAAA-E KHALQEHI

And glory be to Him who wrote mercy upon Himself before creation began

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِىْ مَنَّ عَلَيْنَا بِحُكَّامٍ يَقُومُونَ مَقَامَهٗ

WAL HAMDO LILLAAHIL LAZEE MANNA A’LAYNAA BE-HUKKAAMIN-Y YAQOOMOONA MAQAAMAHU

And praise be to Allah who favored us with rulers who stand in His place

لَوْ كَانَ حَاضِراً فِىْ الْمَكَانِ، وَلَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ الَّذِىْ شَرَّفَنَا

LAW KAANA HAAZERAN FIL MAKAANE WA LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHUL LAZEE SHARRAFANAA

as though He were present in this place. And there is no god but Allah, who has honoured us

بِاَوْصِيَاءَ يَحْفَظُونَ الشَّرَائِعَ فِىْ كُلِّ الْأزْمَانِ

BE-AWSEYAAA-A YAHFAZOONASH SHARAAA-E-A’ FEE KULLIL AZMAANE

With guardians who preserve the laws in all times

وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ الَّذِىْ أظْهَرَ هُمْ لَنَا بِمُعْجِزَاتٍ

WAL LAAHO AKBARUL LAZEE AZHARAHUM LANAA BE-MO’JEZAATIN

And Allah is the Greatest, who revealed them to us with miracles

يَعْجِزُ عَنْهَا الثَّقَلَانِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ الّا بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ

YA’JEZO A’NHAS SAQALAANE WA LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHIL A’LIYYIL A’ZEEME

That both humans and jinn are unable to match, and there is no power or strength except with Allah, the Most High, the Most Great

الَّذِىْ أجرَانَا عَلىٰ عَوَائِدِهِ الْجَمِيْلَةِ فِىْ الْاُمَمِ السَّالفِيْنَ

ALLAZEE AJRAANAA A’LAA A’WAAA-EDEHIL JAMEELATE FIL OMAMIS SAALFEENA

He who has carried us upon His beautiful customs among the past nations

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَالثَّنَاءُ الْعَلِيُّ، كَمَا وَجَبَ لِوَجْهِكَ

ALLAAHUMMA FALAKAL HAMDO WAS SANAAA-UL A’LIYYO KAMAA WAJABA LE-WAJHEKA

O Allah, for You is the praise and lofty glorification, as is due to Your eternal face

الْبَقَاءُ السَّرْمَدِيِّ، وَكَمَا جَعَلْتَ نَبِيِّنَا خَيْرَ النَّبِيِّيْنَ

ALBAQAAA-US SARMADIYYE WA KAMAA JA-A’LTA NABIYYENAA KHAYRAN NABIYYEENA

The everlasting permanence, and as You made our Prophet the best of prophets

وَمُلُوكَنَا اَفْضَلَ الْمخْلُوقِيْنَ، وَاخْتَرْتَهٗمْ عَلىٰ عِلْمٍ عَلَى الْعٰلَمِيْنَ

WA MOLOOKANAA AFZALAL MAKHLOOQEENA WAKH TARTAHUM A’LAA I’LMIN A’LAL A’ALAMEENA

And our kings the best of creation, and chose them with knowledge above all the worlds

وَفِّقْنَا لِلسَّعْيِ الىٰ أبْوَابِهٖمُ الْعَامِرَةِ اِلى يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ

WAFFIQNAA LIS-SA’YE ELAA ABWAABEHEMUL A’AMERATE ELAA YAWMID DEENE

And grant us success to strive towards their prosperous doors until the Day of Judgment

وَاجْعَلْ أرْوَاحَنَا تَحِنُّ الىٰ مَوْطِنِ أقْدَامِهِمْ

WAJ A’L ARWAAHANAA TAHINNO ELAA MAWTENE AQDAAMEHIM

And make our souls yearn for the place of their feet

وَنُفُوسَنَا تَهْوَى النَّظَرَ الىٰ مَجَالِسِهِمْ وَعَرَصَاتِهِمْ

WA NOFOOSANAA TAHWAN NAZARA ELAA MAJAALESEHIM WA A’RASAATEHIM

And our hearts long to look at their gatherings and courtyards

حَتّٰى كَاْنَّنَا نُخَاطِبُهُمْ فِىْ حُضُوْرِ أشخَاصِهِمْ

HATTAA KAANNANAA NOKHAATEBOHUM FEE HOZOORE ASHKHAASEHIM

Until it is as if we are addressing them in their presence

فَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَهِمْ مِنْ سَادَةٍ غَائِبِيْنَ، وَمِنْ سُلَالَةٍ طَاهِرِيْنَ

FASALLAL LAAHO A’LAYHIM MIN SAADATIN GHAAA-EBEENA WA MIN SOLAALATIN TAAHEREENA

So may Allah send blessings upon them, noble ones who are absent, and from a pure lineage

وَمِنْ أئِمَّةٍ مَعْصُومِيْنَ

WA MIN A-IMMATIM MA’SOOMEENA

And from infallible leaders

اَللّٰهُمَّ فَاْذَنْ لَنَا بِدُخُولِ هٰذِهِ الْعَرَصَاتِ

ALLAAHUMMA FAAZAL LANAA BE-DOKHOOLE HAAZEHIL A’RASAATE

O Allah, permit us to enter these courtyards

الَّتِيْ اسْتَعْبَدْتَ بِزِيَارَتِهَا أهْلَ الْأرَضِيْنَ وَالسَّمٰوَاتِ

ALLATIS TA’BADTA BE-ZEYAARATEHAA AHLAL ARAZEENA WAS SAMAAWAATE

Which You made the people of the earth and heavens worship by visiting

وَاَرْسِلْ دُمُوعَنَا بِخُشُوعِ الْمَهَابَةِ

WA ARSIL DOMOO-A’NAA BE-KHOSHOO-I’L MAHAABATE

And send our tears with the humility of awe

وذَلِّلْ جَوَارِحَنَا بِذُلِّ الْعُبُودِيَّةِ، وَفَرْضِ الطَّاعَةِ

WA ZALLIL JAWAAREHANAA BEZULLIL O’BOODIYYATE WA FARZIT TAA-A’TE

And subdue our limbs with the humility of servitude and the obligation of obedience

حَتّٰى نُقِرَّ بِمَا يَجِبُ لَهٗمْ مِنَ الْأعْرَافِ

HATTAA NOQIRRA BEMAA YAJEBO LAHUM MENAL A-A’RAAFE

Until we acknowledge what is due to them of rights

وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ، وَسَلَامٌ عَلىٰ عِبَادِهِ الَّذِيْنَ اصْطَفٰى

WAL HAMDO LILLAAHE WA SALAAMUN A’LAA E’BAADEHIL LAZEENAS TAFAA

And praise be to Allah, and peace upon His chosen servants

مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

MOHAMMADINW WA AALEHIT TAAHEREENA

Muhammad and his pure family

اِلٰهِىْ اِنِّىْ وَقَفْتُ عَلىٰ بَابِ بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهٖ

ELAAHEE INNEE WAQAFTO A’LAA BAABE BAYTIM MIN BOYOOTE NABIYYEKA MOHAMMADIN SALAWAATOKA A’LAYHE WA AALEHI

O my God, I have stood at the door of a house from the houses of Your Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family

وَقَدْ مَنَعْتَ النَّاسَ مِنَ الدُّخُوْلِ الىٰ بُيُوتِهٖ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِنهِ

WA QAD MANA’TAN NAASA MENAD DOKHOOLE ELAA BOYOOTEHI ILLAA BE-IZNEHI

And You have prevented people from entering his houses except with his permission

فَقُلْتَ: ’يَا اَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ آمَنُوا لَا تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتَ النَّبِيِّ اِلَّا أنْ يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ‘

FAQULTA YAA AYYOHAL LAZEENA AAMANOO LAA TADKHOLOO BOYOOTAN NABIYYE ILLAA AN-Y YOAZANA LAKUM

So You said: "O you who believe! Do not enter the houses of the Prophet unless permission is given to you."

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَانِىْ أعْتَقِدُ حُرْمَةَ نَبِيِّكَ فِىْ غَيْبَتِهٖ، كَمَا أعْتِقِدُ فِىْ حَضْرَتِهٖ

ALLAAHUMMA WA INNEE A-A’TAQEDO HURMATA NABIYYEKA FEE GHAYBATEHI KAMAA A-A’TAQEDO FEE HAZRATEHI

O Allah, I believe in the sanctity of Your Prophet in his absence, just as I do in his presence

وَأعْلَمُ أنَّ رُسُلَكَ وَخُلَفَائَكَ أحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَكَ يُرْزَقُونَ، فَرِحِيْنَ

WA A-A’LAMO ANNA ROSOLAKA WA KHOLAFAAA-AKA AHYAAA-UN I’NDAKA YURZAQOONA FAREHEENA

And I know that Your Messengers and successors are alive with You, provided for, rejoicing

يَرَوْنَ مَكَانِىْ وَيَسْمَعُونَ كَلَامِىْ وَيَرُدُّونَ سَلَامِىْ عَلَيَّ

YARAWNA MAKAANEE WA YASMA-O’ONA KALAAMEE WA YARUDDOONA SALAAMEE A’LAYYA

They see my place, hear my words, and return my greetings to me

وَأنَّكَ حَجَبْتَ عَنْ سَمْعِىْ كَلَامَهُمْ وَفَتَحْتَ بَابَ فَهْمِىْ بِلَذِيْذِ مُنَاجَاتِهِمْ

WA ANNAKA HAJABTA A’N SAM-E’E KALAAMAHUM WA FATAHTA BAABA FAHMEE BE-LAZEEZE MONAAJAATEHIM

And that You have veiled their speech from my hearing, but opened the door of my understanding to the sweetness of their intimate prayers

فَاِنِّيْ اَسْتَاْذِنُكَ يَا رَبِّ أوَ لاً، وَأسْتَاْذِنُ رَسُولَكَ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهٖ ثَانِياً

FA-INNEE ASTAAZENOKA YAA RABBE AWWALANW WA ASTAAZENO RASOOLAKA SALAWAATOKA A’LAYHE WA AALEHI SAANEYAN

So I seek Your permission, O my Lord, first, and I seek the permission of Your Messenger, peace be upon him and his family, second

وَاَسْتَاْذِنُ خَلِيْفَتَكَ الْاِمَامَ الْمُفْتَرَضَ عَلَيَّ طَاعَتُهٗ فِي الدُّخُولِ فِىْ سَاعَتِىْ هٰذِهِ الىٰ بَيْتِهٖ

WA ASTAAZENO KHALEEFATAKAL EMAAMAL MUFTARAZA A’LAYYA TAA-A’TOHU FID DOKHOOLE FEE SAA-A’TEE HAAZEHI ELAA BAYTEHI

And I seek the permission of Your successor, the Imam whose obedience is obligatory upon me, to enter his house at this moment

وَأسْتَاْذِنُ مَلَائِكَتَكَ الْمُوَكَّلِيْنَ بِهٰذِهِ الْبُقْعَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ، اَلْمُطِيْعَةِ لَكَ السَّامِعَةِ

WA ASTAAZENO MALAAA-EKATAKAL MOWAKKALEENA BE-HAAZEHIL BUQ-A’TIL MOBAARAKATE ALMOTEE-A’TE LAKAS SAAME-A’TE

And I seek the permission of Your angels assigned to this blessed spot, obedient and attentive to You

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ اَيَّتُهَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ الْمُوَكَّلُونَ بِهٰذَا الْمَشْهَدِ الشَّرِيْفِ الْمُبَارَكِ، وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKUM AYYATOHAL MALAAA-EKATUL MOWAKKALOONA BE-HAAZAL MASH-HADISH SHAREEFIL MOBAARAKE WA RAHMATUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU

Peace be upon you, O angels assigned to this noble, blessed sanctuary, and the mercy and blessings of Allah

بِاذْنِ اللهِ وَاِذْنِ رَسُولِهٖ وَاذْنِ خُلَفَائِهٖ هٰذا الاِمَامِ، وَبِاذِنِكُمْ صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اَجْمَعِيْنَ

BE-IZNIL LAAHE WA IZNE RASOOLEHI WA IZNE KHOLAFAAA-EHI HAAZAL EMAAME WA BE-IZNEKUM SALAWAATUL LAAHE A’LAYKUM AJMA-E’ENA

By Allah’s permission, and the permission of His Messenger and His successors, and by your permission, may Allah’s blessings be upon you all

أدْخُلُ هٰذا الْبَيْتَ مُتَقَرِّباً اِلَى اللهِ بِاللهِ وَرَسُولِهٖ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ الطَّاهِرِيْنَ

ADKHOLO HAAZAL BAYTA MOTAQARREBAN ELAL LAAHE BILLAAHE WA RASOOLEHI MOHAMMADINW WA AALEHIT TAAHEREENA

I enter this house seeking nearness to Allah, by Allah and His Messenger Muhammad and his pure family

فَكُونُوا مَلَائِكَةَ اللهِ أعْوَانِىْ، وَكُونُوا أنْصَارِيْ حَتّٰى أدْخُلَ هٰذَا الْبَيْتَ

FAKOONOO MALAAA-EKATAL LAAHE A-A’WAANEE WA KOONOO ANSAAREE HATTAA ADKHOLA HAAZAL BAYTA

So be, O angels of Allah, my helpers, and my supporters until I enter this house

وَأدْعُوَا اللهَ بِفُنُونِ الدَّعَوَاتِ، وَأعْتَرِفَ لِلّٰهِ بِالْعُبُودِيَّةِ، وَلِهٰذَا الْاِمَامِ وَآبَائِهٖ

WA AD-O’WAL LAAHA BE-FONOONID DA-A’WAATE WA A-A’TAREFA LILLAAHE BIL-O’BOODIYYATE WA LE-HAAZAL EMAAME WA AABAAA-EHI

And I will call upon Allah with various supplications, and confess servitude to Allah, and to this Imam and his forefathers

صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ عَلَيْهِمْ - بِالطَّاعَةِ

SALAWAATUL LAAHE A’LAYHIM BIT-TAA-A’TE

May Allah’s blessings be upon them – with obedience

**When entering, place your right foot first and say:**

بِسْمِ اللهِ وَبِاللهِ، وَفِىْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ وَعَلىٰ مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ

BISMIL LAAHE WA BILLAAHE WA FEE SABEELIL LAAHE WA A’LAA MILLATE RASOOLIL LAAHE

In the name of Allah and by Allah, in the way of Allah and upon the creed of the Messenger of Allah

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and

أشْهَدُ اَنْ لَا اِلٰهَ الَا اللهُ وَحْدَهٗ لَا شَرِيْكَ لَهٗ، وَأشْهَدُ أنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهٗ وَرَسُولُهُ

ASH-HADO AL LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO WAHDAHU LAA SHAREEKA LAHU WA ASH-HADO ANNA MOHAMMADAN A’BDOHU WA RASOOLOHU

I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger

**Then say:**

اَللهُ اَكْبَرُ

ALLAAHO AKBARO

Allah is the Greatest

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ

ALHAMDO LILLAAHE

All praise is due to Allah

سُبْحَانَ اللهِ

SUBHAANAL LAAHE

Glory be to Allah

لَا اِلهَ اِلَّا اللهُ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO

There is no god but Allah

**After entering and facing the Qiblah, recite:**

سَلَامُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ وَتَحِيَّاتُهٗ وَصَلَوَاتُهٗ عَلىٰ مَوْلَايَ صَاحِبِ الزَّمَانِ

SALAAMUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU WA TAHIYYAATOHU WA SALAWAATOHU A’LAA MAWLAAYA SAAHEBIZ ZAMAANE

Allah’s peace, blessings, greetings, and prayers be upon my master, the Master of the Age

صَاحِبِ الضِّيَاءِ وَالنُّورِ، وَالدِّيْنِ الْمَاْثُورِ

SAAHEBIZ ZEYAAA-E WAN NOORE WAD DEENIL MAASOORE

Master of light and radiance, and the inherited religion

وَاللِّوَاءِ الْمَشْهُورِ، وَالْكِتَابِ الْمَنْشُورِ

WAL LEWAAA-IL MASH-HOORE WAL KETAABIL MANSHOORE

And the well-known banner, and the open Book

وَصَاحِبِ الدُّهُورِ وَالْعُصُورِ، وَخَلَفِ الْحَسَنِ

WA SAAHEBID DOHOORE WAL O’SOORE WA KHALAFIL HASANE

And the master of ages and eras, and the successor of Hasan

الْاِمَامِ الْمُؤْتَمَنِ، وَالْقَائِمِ الْمُعْتَمَدِ

AL-EMAAMIL MOATAMANE WAL QAAA-EMIL MO’TAMADE

The trustworthy Imam, the reliable one who stands up

وَالْمَنْصُورِ الْمُؤُيَّدِ، وَالْكَهْفِ وَالْعَضُدِ

WAL MANSOORIL MO-UYYADE WAL KAHFE WAL A’ZODE

The supported and aided one, the refuge and the strong arm

وَعِمَادِ الْاِسْلَامِ وَرُكْنِ الْاَنَامِ

WA E’MAADIL ISLAAME WA RUKNIL ANAAME

The pillar of Islam and the support of all creation

وَمِفْتَاحِ الْكَلَامِ، وَوَلِيِّ الْاَحْكَامِ

WA MIFTAAHIL KALAAME WA WALIYYIL AHKAAME

The key to speech, and the guardian of the laws

وَشَمْسِ الظَّلَامِ، وَبَدْرِ التَّمَامِ

WA SHAMSIZ ZALAAME WA BADRIT TAMAAME

The sun in darkness, and the full moon

وَنَضْرَةِ الْاَيَّامِ، وَصَاحِبِ الصَّمْصَامِ

WA NAZRATIL AYYAAME WA SAAHEBIS SAMSAAME

The beauty of days, and the owner of the sword

وَفَلَّاقِ الْهَامِ، وَالْبَحْرِ الْقَمْقَامِ

WA FALLAAQIL HAAME WAL BAHRIL QAMQAAME

The splitter of heads, and the roaring sea

وَالسَّيِّدِ الْهُمَامِ وَحُجَّةِ الْخِصَامِ

WAS SAYYEDIL HOMAAME WA HUJJATIL KHESAAME

The noble master and the proof in disputes

وَبَابِ الْمَقَامِ لِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامِ

WA BAABIL MAQAAME LE-YAWMIL QEYAAME

The gate of standing for the Day of Resurrection

وَالسَّلَامُ عَلىٰ مُفَرِّجِ الْكُرُبَاتِ، وَخَوَّاضِ الْغَمَرَاتِ

WAS SALAAMO A’LAA MOFARREJIL KOROBAATE WA KHAWWAAZIL GHAMARAATE

And peace be upon the reliever of distresses, and the one who braves the depths

وَمُنّفِّسِ الْحَسَرَاتِ، وَبَقِيَّةِ اللهِ فِىْ أرْضِهٖ

WA MONAFFESIL HASARAATE WA BAQIYYATIL LAAHE FEE ARZEHI

And the reliever of sorrows, and the remainder of Allah on His earth

وَصَاحِبِ فَرْضِهٖ، وَحُجَّتِهٖ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهٖ

WA SAAHEBE FARZEHI WA HUJJATEHI A’LAA KHALQEHI

And the one with His duty, and His proof over His creation

وَعَيْبَةِ عِلْمِهٖ، وَمَوْضِعِ صِدْقِهٖ

WA A’YBATE I’LMEHI WA MAWZE-E’ SIDQEHI

And the repository of His knowledge, and the place of His truthfulness

وَالْمُنْتَهٰى الَيْهِ مَوَارِيْثُ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ

WAL MUNTAHAA ELAYHE MAWAAREESUL ANBEYAAA-E

And the one to whom the inheritances of the prophets end

وَلَدَيْهِ مَوْجُودٌ آثَارُ الْاَوْصِيَاءِ

WA LADAYHE MAWJOODUN AASAARUL AWSEYAAA-E

And with him are found the relics of the successors

وَحُجَّةِ اللهِ وَابْنِ رَسُولِهٖ، وَالْقَيِّمِ مَقَامَهٗ

WA HUJJATIL LAAHE WABNE RASOOLEHI WAL QAYYEME MAQAAMAHU

And the proof of Allah and the son of His Messenger, and the one who stands in his place

وَوَلِيَّ أمْرِ اللهِ، وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهٗ

WA WALIYYA AMRIL LAAHE WA RAHMATUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU

And the guardian of Allah’s command, and the mercy and blessings of Allah

اَللّٰهُمَّ كَمَا انْتَجَبْتَهٗ لِعِلْمِكَ، وَاصْطَفَيْتَهٗ لِحُكْمِكَ

ALLAAHUMMA KAMAN TAJABTAHU LE-I’LMEKA WAS TAFAYTAHU LE-HUKMEKA

O Allah, just as You selected him for Your knowledge, and chose him for Your rule

وَخَصَصْتَهٗ بِمَعْرِفَتِكَ، وَاخْتَرْتَهٗ لِنَفْسِكَ

WA KHASASTAHU BE-MA’REFATEKA WAKH TARTAHU LE-NAFSEKA

And You granted him Your knowledge, and chose him for Yourself

وَغشَّيْتَهٗ بِرَحْمَتِكَ، وَرَبَّيْتَهٗ بِنِعْمَتِكَ

WA GHASHSHAYTAHU BE-RAHMATEKA WA RABBAYTAHU BE-NE’MATEKA

And You covered him with Your mercy, and nurtured him with Your blessings

وَغَذَّيْتَهٗ بِحِكْمَتِكَ، وَاخْتَرْتَهٗ لِنَفْسِكَ

WA GHAZZAYTAHU BE-HIKMATEKA WAKH TARTAHU LE-NAFSEKA

And You nourished him with Your wisdom, and chose him for Yourself

وَاجْتَبَيْتَهٗ لِبأسِكَ، وَارْتَضَيْتَهٗ لِقُدْسِكَ

WAJ TABAYTAHU LE-BAASEKA WAR TAZAYTAHU LE-QUDSEKA

And You selected him for Your might, and were pleased with him for Your holiness

وَجَعَلْتَهٗ هَادِياً لِمَنْ شِئْتَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ

WA JA-A’LTAHU HAADEYAL LEMAN SHEATA MIN KHALQEKA

And You made him a guide for whomever You will among Your creation

وَدَيَّانَ الدِّيْنَ بِعَدْلِكَ، وَفَصْلَ الْقَضَايَا بَيْنَ عِبَادِكَ

WA DAYYAANAD DEENA BE-A’DLEKA WA FASLAL QAZAAYAA BAYNA E’BAADEKA

And the judge of the religion by Your justice, and the one who settles disputes among Your servants

وَوَعَدْتَهٗ أنْ تَجْمَعَ بِهِ الْكَلِمَ، وَتُفَرِّجَ بِهٖ عَنِ الْاُمَمِ

WA WA-A’DTAHU AN TAJMA-A’ BEHIL KALEMA WA TOFARREJA BEHI A’NIL OMAME

And You promised him to unite the word through him, and to relieve the nations through him

وَتُنِيْرَ بِعَدْلِهِ الظُّلَمِ، وَتُطْفِيءَ بِهٖ نِيْرَانَ الظُّلْمِ

WA TONEERA BE-A’DLEHIZ ZOLAME WA TUTFEE-A BEHI NEERAANAZ ZULME

And to illuminate the darkness with his justice, and to extinguish the fires of oppression through him

وَتَقْمَعَ بِهٖ حَرَّ الْكُفْرِ وَآثَارَهٗ، وَتُطَهِّرَ بِهٖ بِلَادَكَ

WA TAQMA-A’ BEHI HARRAL KUFRE WA AASAARAHU WA TOTAHHERA BEHI BELAADAKA

And to suppress the heat of disbelief and its traces, and to purify Your lands through him

وَتَشْفِىْ بِهٖ صُدُورَ عِبَادِكَ، وَتَجْمَعَ بِهِ الْمَمَالِكَ كُلَّهَا

WA TASHFEE BEHI SODOORA E’BAADEKA WA TAJMA-A’ BEHIL MAMAALEKA KULLAHAA

And to heal the hearts of Your servants through him, and to gather all the kingdoms through him

قَرِيْبَهَا وَبَعِيْدَهَا، عَزِيْزَهَا وَذَلِيْلَهَا

QAREEBAHAA WA BA-E’EDAHAA A’ZEEZAHAA WA ZALEELAHAA

Whether near or far, mighty or humble

شَرْقَهَا وَغَرْبَهَا، سَهْلَهَا وَجَبَلَهَا

SHARQAHAA WA GHARBAHAA SAHLAHAA WA JABALAHAA

East and west, plain and mountain

صَبَاهَا وَدَبُورَهَا شِمَالَهَا وَجُنُوبَهَا

SABAAHAA WA DABOORAHAA SHEMAALAHAA WA JONOOBAHAA

Its east wind and west wind, north and south

بَرَّهَا وَبَحْرَهَا، حُزُوْنَهَا وَوُعُوررَهَا

BARRAHAA WA BAHRAHAA HOZOONAHAA WA WO-O’ORRAHAA

Its land and sea, its hills and valleys

يَمْلاُهَا، قِسْطاً وَعَدْلاً كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْماً وَجَوْراً

YAMLA-OHAA QISTANW WA A’DLAN KAMAA MOLE-AT ZULMANW WA JAWRAN

He will fill it with justice and equity as it was filled with oppression and injustice

وَتُمَكَّنَ لَهٗ فِيْهَا وَتُنْجِزَ بِهٖ وَعْدَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ

WA TOMAKKANA LAHU FEEHAA WA TUNJEZA BEHI WA’DAL MOAMENEENA

And You will establish him in it and fulfill the promise to the believers through him

حَتّٰى لَا يَسْتَخْفِيَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنَ الْحَقِّ، مَخَافَةَ اَحَدٍ مِنَ الْخَلْقِ

HATTAA LAA YASTAKHFEYA BE-SHAY-IM MENAL HAQQE MAKHAAFATA AHADIM MENAL KHALQE

Until nothing of the truth is hidden out of fear of anyone from creation

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ صَلَاةً تُظْهِرُ بِهَا حُجَّتَهٗ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAYHE SALAATAN TUZHERO BEHAA HUJJATAHU

O Allah, send blessings upon him—a blessing that manifests his proof

وَتُوضِحُ بِهَا بَهْجَتَهٗ، وَتَرْفَعُ بِهَا دَرَجَتَهٗ

WA TOOZEHO BEHAA BAHJATAHU WA TARFA-O’ BEHAA DARAJATAHU

And clarifies his splendor, and raises his rank

وَتُؤَيِّدُ بِهَا سُلْطَانَهٗ، وَتُعَظِّمُ بِهَا بُرْهَانَهٗ

WA TO-AYYEDO BEHAA SULTAANAHU WA TO-A’ZZEMO BEHAA BURHAANAHU

And supports his authority, and magnifies his evidence

وَتُشَرِّفُ بِهَا مَكَانَهٗ، وَتُعْلِىْ بِهَا بُنْيَانَهٗ

WA TOSHARREFO BEHAA MAKAANAHU WA TO’LEE BEHAA BUNYAANAHU

And honors his position, and elevates his foundation

وَتُعِزُّ بِهَا نَصْرَهٗ، وَتَرْفَعُ بِهَا قَدْرَهٗ

WA TO-I’ZZO BEHAA NASRAHU WA TARFA-O’ BEHAA QADRAHU

And grants victory through him, and raises his esteem

وَتُسَمِّيْ بِهَا ذِكْرَهٗ، وَتُظْهِرُ بِهَا كَلِمَتَهٗ

WA TOSAMMEE BEHAA ZIKRAHU WA TUZHERO BEHAA KALEMATAHU

And makes his remembrance renowned, and makes his word manifest

وَتُكْثِرُ بِهَا نُصْرَتَهٗ، وَتُعِزُّ بَهَا دَعْوَتَهٗ

WA TUKSERO BEHAA NUSRATAHU WA TO-I’ZZO BEHAA DA’WATAHU

And multiplies his support, and strengthens his call

وَتَزِيْدُهٗ بِهَا اِكْرَامًا وَتَجْعَلُهٗ لِلْمُتَّقِيْنَ اِمَامًا

WA TAZEEDOHU BEHAA IKRAAMANW WA TAJ-A’LOHU LILMUTTAQEENA EMAAMAN

And increases his honor, and makes him an Imam for the God-conscious

وَتُبَلِّغُهٗ فِىْ هٰذا الْمَكَانِ، مِثْلَ هٰذَا الْاَوَانِ

WA TOBALLEGHOHU FEE HAAZAL MAKAANE MISLA HAAZAL AWAANE

And grant him in this place, at this time

وَفِىْ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَاَوَانٍ، مِنَّا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَاماً

WA FEE KULLE MAKAANINW WA AWAANIM MINNAA TAHIYYATANW WA SALAAMAN

And in every place and time, from us, greetings and peace

لَا يَبْلىٰ جَدِيْدُهٗ، وَلَا يَفْنىٰ عَدِيْدُهٗ

LAA YABLAA JADEEDOHU WA LAA YAFNAA A’DEEDOHU

Whose newness never wears out, nor does its number end

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَقِيَّةَ اللهِ فِىْ أرْضِهٖ وَبِلَادِهٖ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA BAQIYYATAL LAAHE FEE ARZEHI WA BELAADEHI

Peace be upon you, O remainder of Allah on His earth and in His lands

وَحُجَّتَهٗ عَلىٰ عِبَادِهٖ

WA HUJJATAHU A’LAA E’BAADEHI

And His proof over His servants

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَلَفَ السَّلَفِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA KHALAFAS SALAFE

Peace be upon you, O successor of the predecessors

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَاحِبَ الشَّرَفِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA SAAHEBASH SHARAFE

Peace be upon you, O possessor of honor

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ الْمْعْبُودِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA HUJJATAL MA’BOODE

Peace be upon you, O proof of the Worshipped One

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا كَلِمَةَ الْمحْمُودِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA KALEMATAL MAHMOODE

Peace be upon you, O word of the Praised One

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا شَمْسَ الشُّمُوسِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA SHAMSASH SHOMOOSE

Peace be upon you, O sun of all suns

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَهْدِيَّ الْاَرْضِ، وَمُبَيَّنَ عَيْنِ الْفَرْضِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA MAHDIYYAL ARZE WA MOBAYYANA A’YNIL FARZE

Peace be upon you, O guided one of the earth, and clarifier of obligations

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ وَالْعَالِي الشَّاْنِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA MAWLAAYA YAA SAAHEBAZ ZAMAANE WAL A’ALISH SHAANE

Peace be upon you, my master, O master of the time and of high status

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَاتِمَ الْاَوْصِيَاءِ وَابْنَ خَاتِمِ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA KHAATEMAL AWSEYAAA-E WABNA KHAATEMIL ANBEYAAA-E

Peace be upon you, O seal of the successors and son of the seal of the prophets

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُعِزَّ الْاَوْلِيَاءِ وَمُذِلَّ الْاْعْدَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA MO-I’ZZAL AWLEYAAA-E WA MOZILLAL A-A’DAAA-E

Peace be upon you, O honor-giver to the saints and humbler of enemies

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْاِمَامُ الْوَحِيْدُ، وَالْقَائِمُ الرَّشِيْدُ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL EMAAMUL WAHEEDO WAL QAAA-EMUR RASHEEDO

Peace be upon you, O unique Imam, and the rightly guided one who rises

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْاِمَامُ الْفَرِيْدُ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL EMAAMUL FAREEDO

Peace be upon you, O singular Imam

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْاِمَامُ الْمُنْتَظَرُ، وَالْحَقُّ الْمُشْتَهَرُ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL EMAAMUL MUNTAZARO WAL HAQQUL MUSHTAHARO

Peace be upon you, O awaited Imam, and the manifest truth

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْاِمَامُ الْوَلِيُّ الْمُجْتَبىٰ، وَالْحَقُّ الْمُنْتَهىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL EMAAMUL WALIYYUL MUJTABAA WAL HAQQUL MUNTAHAA

Peace be upon you, O chosen guardian Imam, and the ultimate truth

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْاِمَامُ الْمُرْتَجىٰ لِازَالَةِ الْجَوْرِ وَالْعُدوَانِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL EMAAMUL MURTAJAA LE-EZAALATIL JAWRE WAL U’DWAANE

Peace be upon you, O hoped-for Imam for removing injustice and aggression

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْاِمَامُ الْمُبِيْدُ لِاَهْلِ الْفُسُوقِ وَالطُّغْيَانِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL EMAAMUL MOBEEDO LE-AHLIL FOSOOQE WAT TUGHYAANE

Peace be upon you, O Imam who destroys the wicked and tyrants

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ اَيُّهَا الْاِمَامُ الْهَادِمُ لِبُنْيَانِ الشِّرْكِ وَالنِّفَاقِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL EMAAMUL HAADEMO LE-BUNYAANISH SHIRKE WAN NEFAAQE

Peace be upon you, O Imam who demolishes the structures of polytheism and hypocrisy

وَالْحَاصِدُ فُرُوعَ الْغَيِّ وَالشِّقَاقِ

WAL HAASEDO FOROO-A’L GHAYYE WASH SHEQAAQE

And the reaper of the branches of error and discord

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الْمُدَّخَرُ لِتَجْدِيْدِ الْفَرَائضِ وَالسُّنَنِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL MUDDAKHARO LE-TAJDEEDIL FARAAA-EZE WAS SONANE

Peace be upon you, O stored one for renewing obligations and traditions

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا طَامِسَ آثَارِ الزَّيْغِ وَالْاَهْوَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA TAAMESA AASAARIZ ZAYGHE WAL AHWAAA-E

Peace be upon you, O eraser of the traces of deviation and desires

وَقَاطِعَ حبَائِلِ الْكَذِبِ وَالْفِتَنِ وَالْاِمْتِرَاءِ

WA QAATE-A’ HABAAA-ELIL KAZEBE WAL FETANE WAL IMTERAAA-E

And the cutter of the snares of lies, seditions, and doubts

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ لِاحْيَاءِ الدَّوْلَةِ الشَّرِيْفَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL MO-AMMALO LE-EHYAAA-ID DAWLATISH SHAREEFATE

Peace be upon you, O hoped-for one for reviving the noble state

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا جَامِعَ الْكَلِمَةِ عَلَى التَّقْوىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA JAAME-A’L KALEMATE A’LAT TAQWAA

Peace be upon you, O uniter of the word upon piety

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَابَ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA BAABAL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O gate of Allah

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ اللهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA SAARAL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُحْيِيَ مَعَالِمِ الدِّيْنِ وَأهْلِهٖ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA MOHYEYA MA-A’ALEMID DEENE WA AHLEHI

Peace be upon you, O reviver of the landmarks of religion and its people

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا قَاصِمَ شَوْكَةِ الْمُعْتَدِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA QAASEMA SHAWKATIL MO’TADEENA

Peace be upon you, O breaker of the thorns of the aggressors

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَجْهَ اللهِ الَّذِىْ لَا يَهْلِكُ وَلَا يَبْلىٰ الىٰ يَوْمِ الدِّيْنِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA WAJHAL LAAHIL LAZEE LAA YAHLEKO WA LAA YABLAA ELAA YAWMID DEENE

Peace be upon you, O Face of Allah who neither perishes nor fades until the Day of Judgment

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رُكْنَ الْاِيْمَانِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA RUKNAL EEMAANE

Peace be upon you, O pillar of faith

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا السَّبَبُ الْمُتَّصِلُ بَيْنَ الْأرْضِ وَالسَّمَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAS SABABUL MUTTASELO BAYNAL ARZE WAS SAMAAA-E

Peace be upon you, O the connecting cause between earth and sky

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَاحِبَ الْفَتْحِ وَنَاشِرَ رَايَةِ الْهُدىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA SAAHEBAL FAT-HE WA NAASHERA RAAYATIL HODAA

Peace be upon you, O possessor of victory and spreader of the banner of guidance

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مُؤَلِّفُ شَمْلِ الصَّلَاحِ وَالرِّضا

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA MO-ALLEFO SHAMLIS SALAAHE WAR REZAA

Peace be upon you, O uniter of the bonds of righteousness and contentment

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا طَالِبَ ثَارِ الْاَنْبِيَاءِ، وَأبْنَاءِ الْأنْبِيَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA TAALEBA SAARIL ANBEYAAA-E WA ABNAAA-IL ANBEYAAA-E

Peace be upon you, O avenger of the Prophets and sons of the Prophets

وَالثَّائِرَ بِدَمِ الْمَقْتُولِ بِكَرْبَلَاءَ

WAS SAAA-ERA BE-DAMIL MAQTOOLE BE-KARBALAAA-A

And the one who revolts for the blood of the slain in Karbala

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الْمَنْصُورُ عَلىٰ مَنِ اعْتَدىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL MANSOORO A’LAA MANE’TADAA

Peace be upon you, O the victorious over those who transgress

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أيُّهَا الْمُضْطَرُّ الْمُجَابُ اِذَا دَعَا

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA AYYOHAL MUZTARRUL MOJAABO EZAA DA-A’A

Peace be upon you, O the distressed one whose prayer is answered

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بِقِيَّةَ الْخَلَائِفِ، الْبَرُّ التَّقِيُّ، الْبَاقِىْ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA BAQIYYATAL KHALAAA-EFIL BARRUT TAQIYYUL BAAQEE

Peace be upon you, O remainder of the Caliphs, the pious and enduring

لِازَالَةِ الْجَوْرِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ

LE-EZAALATIL JAWRE WAL U’DWAANE

For the removal of injustice and aggression

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ النَّبِيِّ الْمُصْطَفىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAN NABIYYIL MUSTAFAA

Peace be upon you, O son of the chosen Prophet

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ عَلِيٍّ الْمُرْتَضىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA A’LIYYENIL MURTAZAA

Peace be upon you, O son of Ali the chosen one

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ فَاطِمَةَ الزَّهْرَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA FAATEMATAZ ZAHRAAA-E

Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah az-Zahra

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ خَدِيْجَةَ الْكُبْرىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA KHADEEJATAL KUBRAA

Peace be upon you, O son of Khadijah the Great

وَابْنَ السَّادَةِ الْمُقَرَّبِيْنَ، وَالْقَادَةِ الْمُتَّقِيْنَ

WABNAS SAADATIL MOQARRABEENA WAL QAADATIL MUTTAQEENA

And son of the noble and close ones, and leaders of the pious

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ النُّجَبَاءِ الْاَكْرَمِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAN NOJABAAA-IL AKRAMEENA

Peace be upon you, O son of the noble and generous

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الَاصْفِيَاءِ الْمُهْتَدِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL ASFEYAAA-IL MOHTADEENA

Peace be upon you, O son of the pure and guided

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْهُدَاةِ الْمَهْدِيِّيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL HODAATIL MAHDIYYEENA

Peace be upon you, O son of the guides and rightly guided

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ خِيَرَةِ الْخَيْرِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA KHEYARATIL KHAYRE

Peace be upon you, O son of the best of good

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ سَادَةِ الْبَشَرِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA SAADATIL BASHARE

Peace be upon you, O son of the masters of mankind

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْغطَارِفَةِ الْاَكْرَمِيْنَ وَالْأطَائِبِ الْمُطَهَّرِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL GHATAAREFATIL AKRAMEENA WAL ATAAA-EBIL MOTAHHAREENA

Peace be upon you, O son of the noble and pure ones

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْبَرَرَةِ الْمُنْتَجَبِيْنَ، وَالْخَضَارِمَةِ الْاَنْجَبِيْنَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL BARARATIL MUNTAJABEENA WAL KHAZAAREMATIL ANJABEENA

Peace be upon you, O son of the chosen righteous and noble

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْحُجَجِ الْمُنِيْرَةِ، وَالسُّرُجِ الْمُضِيْئَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL HOJAJIL MONEERATE WAS SOROJIL MOZEE-ATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the luminous proofs and shining lamps

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الشُّهُبِ الثَّاقِبَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNASH SHOHOBIS SAAQEBATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the piercing meteors

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ قَوَاعِدِ الْعِلْمِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA QAWAA-E’DIL I’LME

Peace be upon you, O son of the foundations of knowledge

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ مَعَادِنِ الْحِلْمِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA MA-A’ADENIL HILME

Peace be upon you, O son of the mines of forbearance

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْكَوَاكِبِ الزَّاهِرَةِ، وَالنُّجُومِ الْبَاهِرَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL KAWAAKEBIZ ZAAHERATE WAN NOJOOMIL BAAHERATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the shining stars and brilliant constellations

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الشُّمُوسِ الطَّالِعَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNASH SHOMOOSIT TAALE-A’TE

Peace be upon you, O son of the rising suns

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْاَقْمَارِ السَّاطِعَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL AQMAARIS SAATE-A’TE

Peace be upon you, O son of the shining moons

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ السُّبُلِ الْوَاضِحَةِ وَالْاَعْلَامِ اللَّائِحَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAS SOBOLIL WAAZEHATE WAL A-A’LAAMIL LAAA-EHATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the clear paths and waving flags

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ السُّنَنِ الْمَشْهُورَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAS SONANIL MASH-HOORATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the famous traditions

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْمَعَالِمِ الْمَاْثُورَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL MA-A’ALEMIL MAASOORATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the transmitted landmarks

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الشَّوَاهِدِ الْمَشْهُودَةِ وَالْمُعْجِزَاتِ الْمَوْجُودَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNASH SHAWAAHEDIL MASH-HOODATE WAL MO’JEZAATIL MAWJOODATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the witnessed signs and existing miracles

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيْمِ وَالنَّبَاءِ الْعَظِيْمِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAS SERAATIL MUSTAQEEME WAN NABAAA-IL A’ZEEME

Peace be upon you, O son of the straight path and the great news

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْآيَاتِ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالدَّلَائِلِ الظَّاهِرَاتِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL AAYAATIL BAYYENAATE WAD DALAAA-ELIZ ZAAHERAATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the clear signs and manifest proofs

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْبَرَاهِينِ الْوَاضِحَاتِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL BARAAHEENIL WAAZEHAATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the clear evidences

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ الْحُجَجِ الْبَالِغَاتِ وَالنِّعَمِ السَّابِغَاتِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL HOJAJIL BAALEGHAATE WAN NE-A’MIS SAABEGHAATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the conclusive proofs and abundant blessings

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ طٰهَ وَالْمُحْكَمَاتِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA TAAHA WAL MOHKAMAATE

Peace be upon you, O son of Taha and the decisive verses

وَيَا سِينَ وَالذَّارِيَاتِ، وَالطُّورِ وَالْعَادِيَاتِ

WA YAA SEENA WAZ ZAAREYAATE WAT TOORE WAL A’ADEYAATE

And O son of Sin, Adh-Dhariyat, At-Tur, and Al-‘Adiyat

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابْنَ مَنْ دَنَىٰ فَتَدَلَّىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNA MAN DANAA FATADALLAA

Peace be upon you, O son of the one who drew near and descended

فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ اَوْ اَدْنَىٰ

FAKAANA QAABA QAWSAYNE AW ADNAA

So he was within two bows’ length or nearer

وَاقْتَرَبَ مِنَ الْعَلِيِّ الْاَعْلَىٰ

WAQ TARABA MENAL A’LIYYIL A-A’LAA

And approached the Most High

لَيْتَ شِعْرِيْ اَيْنَ اسْتَقَرَّتْ بِكَ النَّوَىٰ

LAYTA SHE’REE AYNAS TAQARRAT BEKAN NAWAA

I wish I knew where the distance (of separation) has settled you

اَمْ اَنْتَ بِوَادِي طُوَىٰ

AM ANTA BE-WAADEE TOWAA

Or are you in the valley of Tuwa

عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ اَنْ اَرَى الْخَلْقَ وَلَا تُرَىٰ

A’ZEEZUN A’LAYYA AN ARAL KHALQA WA LAA TORAA

It pains me that I see the creation but you are not seen

وَلَا يُسْمَعُ لَكَ حَسِيسٌ وَلَا نَجْوَىٰ

WA LAA YUSMA-O’ LAKA HASEESUNW WA LAA NAJWAA

Nor is any whisper or secret conversation heard from you

عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ اَنْ يُرَى الْخَلْقُ وَلَا تُرَىٰ

A’ZEEZUN A’LAYYA AN-Y YORAL KHALQO WA LAA TORAA

It pains me that the creation is seen but you are not

عَزِيزٌ عَلَيَّ اَنْ تُحِيطَ بِكَ الْاَعْدَاءُ

A’ZEEZUN A’LAYYA AN TOHEETA BEKAL A-A’DAAA-O

It pains me that enemies surround you

بِنَفْسِيْ اَنْتَ مِنْ مُغَيَّبٍ مَا غَابَ عَنَّا

BE-NAFSEE ANTA MIM MOGHAYYABIM MAA GHAABA A’NNAA

May my soul be ransomed for you, O hidden one who is never absent from us!

بِنَفْسِيْ اَنْتَ مِنْ نَازِحٍ مَا نَزَحَ عَنَّا

BE-NAFSEE ANTA MIN NAAZEHIM MAA NAZAHA A’NNAA

May my soul be ransomed for you, O distant one who is never far from us!

وَنَحْنُ نَقُولُ: الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

WA NAHNO NAQOOLUL HAMDO LILLAAHE RABBIL A’ALAMEENA

And we say: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds

وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهٖ اَجْمَعِينَ

WA SALLAL LAAHO A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALEHI AJMA-E’ENA

And may Allah’s blessings be upon Muhammad and all his family

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ كَاشِفُ الْكَرْبِ وَالْبَلْوَىٰ

ALLAAHUMMA ANTA KAASHEFUL KARBE WAL BALWAA

O Allah, You are the remover of distress and affliction

وَاِلَيْكَ نَشْكُو فَقْدَ نَبِيِّنَا

WA ELAYKA NASHKOO FAQDA NABIYYENAA

And to You we complain the loss of our Prophet

وَغَيْبَةَ اِمَامِنَا وَابْنِ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّنَا

WA GHAYBATA EMAAMENAA WABNE BINTE NABIYYENAA

And the absence of our Imam, the son of the daughter of our Prophet

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَاملأ بِهِ الْاَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا

ALLAAHUMMA WAM LA-A BEHIL ARZA QISTANW WA A’DLAN

O Allah, fill the earth with justice and equity through him

كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَجُورًا

KAMAA MOLE-AT ZULMANW WA JOORAN

As it was filled with oppression and injustice

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاَهْلِ بَيْتِهٖ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AHLE BAYTEHI

O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his family

وَاَرِنَا سَيِّدَنَا وَصَاحِبَنَا وَاِمَامَنَا وَمَوْلَانَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ

WA ARENAA SAYYEDANAA WA SAAHEBANAA WA EMAAMANAA WA MAWLAANAA SAAHEBAZ ZAMAANE

And show us our master, companion, Imam, and guardian, the Owner of the Time

وَمَلْجَاَ اَهْلِ عَصْرِنَا

WA MALJA-A AHLE A’SRENAA

And refuge of the people of our era

وَمَنْجَا اَهْلِ دَهْرِنَا

WA MANJAA AHLE DAHRENAA

And deliverer of the people of our time

ظَاهِرَ الْمَقَالَةِ

ZAAHERAL MAQAALATE

Manifest in speech

وَضَاحِ الدَّلَالَةِ

WA ZAAHID DALAALATE

Clear in guidance

هَادِيًا مِنَ الضَّلَالَةِ

HAADEYAM MENAZ ZALAALATE

A guide from error

مُنْقِذًا مِنَ الْجَهَالَةِ

MUNQEZAM MENAL JAHAALATE

A rescuer from ignorance

وَاَظْهِرْ مَعَالِمَهٗ

WA AZHIR MA-A’ALEMAHU

And manifest his signs

وَثَبِّتْ قَوَاعِدَهٗ

WA SABBIT QAWAA-E’DAHU

And establish his foundations

وَاَعِزَّ نَصْرَهٗ

WA A-I’ZZA NASRAHU

And strengthen his victory

وَاَطِلْ عُمْرَهٗ

WA ATIL U’MRAHU

And prolong his life

وَاَبْسِطْ جَاهَهٗ

WA ABSIT JAAHAHU

And expand his prestige

وَاَحْيِ اَمْرَهٗ

WA AHYE AMRAHU

And revive his cause

وَاَظْهِرْ نُورَهٗ

WA AZHIR NOORAHU

And manifest his light

وَقَرِّبْ بُعْدَهٗ

WA QARRIB BO’DAHU

And bring near his distance

وَاَنْجِزْ وَعْدَهٗ

WA ANJIZ WA’DAHU

And fulfill his promise

وَاَوْفِ عَهْدَهٗ

WA AWFE A’HDAHU

And keep his covenant

وَزَيِّنِ الْاَرْضَ بِطُولِ بَقَائِهٖ

WA ZAYYENIL ARZA BE-TOOLE BAQAAA-EHI

And adorn the earth with the length of his existence

وَدَوَامِ مُلْكِهٖ

WA DAWAAME MULKEHI

And the permanence of his kingdom

وَعُلُوِّ ارْتِقَائِهٖ وَارْتِفَاعِهٖ

WA O’LUWWIR TEQAAA-EHI WAR TEFAA-E’HI

And the exaltation of his ascension and elevation

وَاَنِرْ مَشَاهِدَهٗ

WA ANIR MASHAAHEDAHU

And illuminate his scenes

وَثَبِّتْ قَوَاعِدَهٗ

WA SABBIT QAWAA-E’DAHU

And establish his foundations

وَعَظِّمْ بُرْهَانَهٗ

WA A’ZZIM BURHAANAHU

And magnify his proof

وَاَمِدَّ سُلْطَانَهٗ

WA AMIDDA SULTAANAHU

And extend his authority

وَاَعْلِ مَكَانَهٗ

WA A-A’LE MAKAANAHU

And elevate his position

وَقَوِّ اَرْكَانَهٗ

WA QAWWE ARKAANAHU

And strengthen his pillars

وَاَرِنَا وَجْهَهٗ

WA ARENAA WAJHAHU

And show us his face

وَاَوْضِحْ بَهْجَتَهٗ

WA AWZEH BAHJATAHU

And clarify his joy

وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهٗ

WAR FA’ DARAJATAHU

And raise his rank

وَاَظْهِرْ كَلِمَتَهٗ

WA AZHIR KALEMATAHU

And manifest his word

وَاَعِزَّ دَعْوَتَهٗ

WA A-I’ZZA DA’WATAHU

And honor his call

وَاَعْطِهٖ سُؤْلَهٗ

WA A-A’TEHI SOALAHU

And grant him his request

وَبَلِّغْهُ يَا رَبِّ مَاْمُولَهٗ

WA BALLIGH-HO YAA RABBE MAAMOOLAHU

And fulfill for him, O Lord, his hope

وَشَرِّفْ مَقَامَهٗ

WA SHARRIF MAQAAMAHU

And honor his station

وَعَظِّمْ اِكْرَامَهٗ

WA A’ZZIM IKRAAMAHU

And magnify his respect

وَاَعِزَّ بِهِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

WA A-I’ZZA BEHIL MOAMENEENA

And honor the believers through him

وَاَحْيِ بِهٖ سُنَنَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ

WA AHYE BEHI SONANAL MURSALEENA

And revive, through him, the traditions of the Messengers

وَاَذِلَّ بِهِ الْمُنَافِقِينَ

WA AZILLA BEHIL MONAAFEQEENA

And humiliate, through him, the hypocrites

وَاَهْلِكْ بِهِ الْجَبَّارِينَ

WA AHLIK BEHIL JABBAAREENA

And destroy, through him, the tyrants

وَاكْفِهٖ بَغْيَ الْحَاسِدِينَ

WAK FEHI BAGHYAL HAASEDEENA

And protect him from the oppression of the envious

وَاَعِذْهُ مِنْ شَرِّ الْكَائِدِينَ

WA A-I’ZHO MIN SHARRIL KAAA-EDEENA

And shield him from the evil of the schemers

وَازْجُرْ عَنْهُ اِرَادَةَ الظَّالِمِينَ

WAZ JUR A’NHO ERAADATAZ ZAALEMEENA

And repel from him the will of the oppressors

وَاَيِّدْهُ بِجُنُودٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُسَوِّمِينَ

WA AYYID-HO BE-JONOODIM MENAL MALAAA-EKATE MOSAWWEMEENA

And support him with armies of marked angels

وَسَلِّطْهُ عَلَىٰ اَعْدَاءِ دِينِكَ اَجْمَعِينَ

WA SALLIT-HO A’LAA A-A’DAAA-E DEENEKA AJMA-E’ENA

And grant him power over all the enemies of Your religion

وَاقْصِمْ بِهٖ كُلَّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ

WAQ SIM BEHI KULLA JABBAARIN A’NEEDIN

And break, through him, every arrogant tyrant

وَأخْمِدْ بِسَيْفِهٖ كُلَّ نَارٍ وَقِيْدٍ

WA AKHMID BE-SAYFEHI KULLA NAARINW WA QEEDIN

And extinguish, by his sword, every fire and chain

وَاَنْفِذْ حُكْمَهٗ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ

WA ANFIZ HUKMAHU FEE KULLE MAKAANIN

And execute his judgment everywhere

وَاَقِمْ بِسُلْطَانِهٖ كُلَّ سُلْطَانٍ

WA AQIM BE-SULTAANEHI KULLA SULTAANIN

And uphold his authority over every ruler

وَاَقْمِعْ بِهٖ عَبَدَةَ الْاَوْثَانِ

WA AQME’ BEHI A’BADATAL AWSAANE

And suppress, through him, the worshippers of idols

وَشَرِّفْ بِهٖ اَهْلَ الْقُرْآنِ وَالْاِيمَانِ

WA SHARRIF BEHI AHLAL QUR-AANE WAL EEMAANE

And honor, through him, the people of the Quran and faith

وَاَظْهِرْهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ الْاَدْيَانِ

WA AZHIRHO A’LAA KULLIL ADYAANE

And manifest him over all religions

وَاكْبِتْ مَنْ عَادَاهُ

WAK BIT MAN A’ADAAHO

And suppress whoever opposes him

وَاَذِلَّ مَنْ نَاوَاهُ

WA AZILLA MAN NAAWAAHO

And humiliate whoever contends with him

وَاسْتَاْصِلْ مَنْ جَحَدَ حَقَّهٗ

WAS TAASIL MAN JAHADA HAQQAHU

And uproot whoever denies his right

وَاَنْكَرَ صِدْقَهٗ

WA ANKARA SIDQAHU

And rejects his truth

وَاسْتَهَانَ بِاَمْرِهٖ

WAS TAHAANA BE-AMREHI

And belittles his matter

وَاَرَادَ اِخْمَادَ ذِكْرِهٖ

WA ARAADA IKHMAADA ZIKREHI

And seeks to extinguish his remembrance

وَسَعَىٰ فِي اِطْفَاءِ نُورِهٖ

WA SA-A’A FEE ITFAAA-E NOOREHI

And strives to put out his light

اَللّٰهُمَّ نَوِّرْ بِنُورِهٖ كُلَّ ظُلْمَةٍ

ALLAAHUMMA NAWWIR BE-NOOREHI KULLA ZULMATIN

O Allah, illuminate every darkness with his light

وَاكْشِفْ بِهٖ غُمَّةً

WAK SHIF BEHI GHUMMATAN

And remove every gloom through him

وَقَدِّمْ اَمَامَهُ الرُّعْبَ

WA QADDIM AMAAMAHUR RO’BA

And place before him awe and fear

وَثَبِّتْ بِهِ الْقَلْبَ

WA SABBIT BEHIL QALBA

And strengthen the heart through him

وَاَقِمْ بِهٖ نُصْرَةَ الْحَرْبِ

WA AQIM BEHI NUSRATAL HARBE

And establish through him victory in battle

وَاجْعَلْهُ الْقَائِمَ الْمُؤَمَّلَ

WAJ A’LHUL QAAA-EMAL MO-AMMALA

And make him the awaited one who rises

وَالْوَصِيَّ الْمُفَضَّلَ

WAL WASIYYAL MOFAZZALA

And the preferred successor

وَالْاِمَامَ الْمُنْتَظَرَ

WAL EMAAMAL MUNTAZARA

And the awaited Imam

وَالْعَدْلَ الْمُخْتَبَرَ

WAL A’DLAL MUKHTABARA

And the tested justice

وَامْلَاْ بِهِ الْاَرْضَ عَدْلًا وَقِسْطًا

WAM LA-A BEHIL ARZA A’DLANW WA QISTAN

And fill the earth with justice and equity through him

كَمَا مُلِئَتْ جَوْرًا وَظُلْمًا

KAMAA MOLE-AT JAWRANW WA ZULMAN

As it was filled with oppression and tyranny

وَاَعِنْهُ عَلَىٰ مَا وَلَّيْتَهٗ وَاسْتَخْلَفْتَهٗ وَاسْتَرْعَيْتَهٗ

WA A-I’NHO A’LAA MAA WALLAYTAHU WAS TAKHLAFTAHU WAS TAR-A’YTAHU

And assist him in what You have entrusted him with, made him successor of, and cared for

حَتَّى تُجْرِيَ حُكْمَهٗ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ حُكْمٍ

HATTAA TUJREYA HUKMAHU A’LAA KULLE HUKMIN

Until he enforces his rule over every rule

وَيَهْدِي بِحَقِّهٖ كُلَّ ضَلَالَةٍ

WA YAHDEE BE-HAQQEHI KULLA ZALAALATIN

And guides by his truth every misguidance

وَاحْرُسْهُ اللّٰهُمَّ بِعَيْنِكَ الَّتِي لَا تَنَامُ

WAH RUS-HUL LAAHUMMA BE-A’YNEKAL LATEE LAA TANAAMO

And guard him, O Allah, with Your eye that never sleeps

وَكُنْفِهٖ بِرُكْنِكَ الَّذِي لَا يُرَامُ

WA KUNFEHI BE-RUKNEKAL LAZEE LAA YORAAMO

And protect him with Your support that cannot be overcome

وَاَعِزَّهٗ بِعِزِّكَ الَّذِي لَا يُضَامُ

WA A-I’ZZAHU BE-I’ZZEKAL LAZEE LAA YOZAAMO

And honor him with Your might that cannot be challenged

وَاجْعَلْنِي يَا اِلٰهِي مِنْ عَدَدِهٖ وَمَدَدِهٖ

WAJ A’LNEE YAA ELAAHEE MIN A’DADEHI WA MADADEHI

And make me, O my God, among his followers and supporters

وَاَنْصَارِهٖ وَاَعْوَانِهٖ وَاَرْكَانِهٖ

WA ANSAAREHI WA A-A’WAANEHI WA ARKAANEHI

And among his helpers, assistants, and pillars

وَاَشْيَاعِهٖ وَاَتْبَاعِهٖ

WA ASHYAA-E’HI WA ATBAA-E’HI

And among his followers and disciples

وَاَذِقْنِي طَعْمَ فَرْحَتِهٖ

WA AZIQNEE TA’MA FARHATEHI

And let me taste the joy of his happiness

وَاَلْبِسْنِي ثَوْبَ بَهْجَتِهٖ

WA ALBISNEE SAWBA BAHJATEHI

And clothe me in the garment of his delight

وَاَحْضِرْنِي مَعَهٗ لِبَيْعَتِهٖ وَتَاْكِيدِ عَقْدِهٖ

WA AHZIRNEE MA-A’HU LE-BAY-A’TEHI WA TAAKEEDE A’QDEHI

And bring me with him for his allegiance and confirmation of his covenant

بَيْنَ الرُّكْنِ وَالْمَقَامِ

BAYNAR RUKNE WAL MAQAAME

Between the Corner (Ka‘bah) and the Station (Maqam Ibrahim)

عِنْدَ بَيْتِكَ الْحَرَامِ

I’NDA BAYTEKAL HARAAME

Near Your Sacred House

وَوَفِّقْنِي يَا رَبِّ لِلْقِيَامِ بِطَاعَتِهٖ

WA WAFFIQNEE YAA RABBE LILQEYAAME BE-TAA-A’TEHI

And grant me success, O Lord, to obey him

وَالْمَثْوَىٰ فِي خِدْمَتِهٖ

WAL MASWAA FEE KHIDMATEHI

And to dwell in his service

وَالْمَكْثِ فِي دَوْلَتِهٖ

WAL MAKSE FEE DAWLATEHI

And to remain in his dominion

وَاجْتِنَابِ مَعْصِيَتِهٖ

WAJ TENAABE MA’SEYATEHI

And to avoid disobeying him

فَاِنْ تَوَفَّيْتَنِي اللّٰهُمَّ قَبْلَ ذٰلِكَ

FA-IN TAWAFFAYTANIL LAAHUMMA QABLA ZAALEKA

If You take my soul before that

فَاجْعَلْنِي يَا رَبِّ فِيْمَنْ يَكِرُّ فِي رَجْعَتِهٖ

FAJ-A’LNEE YAA RABBE FEEMAN-Y YAKIRRO FEE RAJ-A’TEHI

Then make me, O Lord, among those who rejoice in his return

وَيَمْلِكُ فِي دَوْلَتِهٖ

WA YAMLEKO FEE DAWLATEHI

And who possess authority in his state

وَيَتَمَكَّنُ فِي اَيَّامِهٖ

WA YATAMAKKANO FEE AYYAAMEHI

And who are empowered in his days

وَيَسْتَظِلُّ تَحْتَ اَعْلَامِهٖ

WA YASTAZILLO TAHTA A-A’LAAMEHI

And who take shelter under his banners

وَيُحْشَرُ فِي زُمْرَتِهٖ

WA YOHSHARO FEE ZUMRATEHI

And who are gathered in his company

وَتَقَرُّ بِرُؤْيَتِهٖ

WA TAQARRO BE-ROAYATEHI

And who find peace in seeing him

بِفَضْلِكَ وَاَحْسَانِكَ وَكَرَمِكَ وَامْتِنَانِكَ

BE-FAZLEKA WA EHSAANEKA WA KARAMEKA WAM TENAANEKA

By Your grace, kindness, generosity, and bounty

اِنَّكَ ذُو الْفَضْلِ الْعَظِيمِ

INNAKA ZUL FAZLIL A’ZEEME

Indeed, You are the Possessor of great bounty

وَالْمَنِّ الْقَدِيمِ

WAL MANNIL QADEEME

And eternal favor

وَالْاِحْسَانِ الْكَرِيمِ

WAL EHSAANIL KAREEME

And noble kindness

ثُمَّ صَلِّ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ رَكْعَةً فِي مَكَانِكَ

SUMMA SALLIS NAY A’SHARA RAK-A’TAN FEE MAKAANEKA

Then pray twelve units (rak‘ahs) in your place

وَاقْرَاْ مَا شِئْتَ مِنَ السُّورِ وَاَهْدِهَا اِلَى الاِمَامِ الزَّمَانِ (عَجَّلَ اللّٰهُ فَرَجَهُ)

WAQ RA-A MAA SHEATA MENAS SOORE WA AHDEHAA ELAL EMAAMIZ ZAMAANE (A’JJALAL LAAHO FARAJAHU)

And recite whichever surahs you wish and dedicate them to Imam al-Zaman (may Allah hasten his reappearance)

بَعْدَ كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، اقْرَاْ تَسْبِيحَةَ جَنَابِ الزَّهْرَاء (س)

BA’DA KULLE RAK-A’TAYN, IQRA-A TASBEEHATA JANAABIZ ZAHRAAA (S)

After every two units, recite the Tasbih of Lady Zahra (peace be upon her)

وَقُلْ:

WA QUL

And say:

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ وَاِلَيْكَ يَعُودُ السَّلَامُ

ALLAAHUMMA ANTAS SALAAMO WA MINKAS SALAAMO WA ELAYKA YA-O’ODUS SALAAMO

O Allah, You are Peace, and from You is peace, and to You returns peace

حَيِّنَا رَبَّنَا مِنْكَ بِالسَّلَامِ

HAYYENAA RABBANAA MINKA BIS-SALAAME

Greet us, our Lord, with peace from You

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِنَّ هَذِهِ الرَّكْعَاتِ هَدِيَّةٌ مِنِّي اِلَى وَلِيِّكَ وَابْنِ وَلِيِّكَ

ALLAAHUMMA INNA HAAZEHIR RAK-A’ATE HADIYYATUM MINNEE ELAA WALIYYEKA WABNE WALIYYEKA

O Allah, these units of prayer are a gift from me to Your guardian and the son of Your guardian

وَابْنِ اَوْلِيَائِكَ، الاِمَامِ ابْنِ الَائِمَّةِ

WABNE AWLEYAAA-EKAL EMAAMIBNIL A-IMMATE

And the son of Your saints, the Imam, son of the Imams

الْخَلَفِ الصَّالِحِ الْحُجَّةِ

ALKHALAFIS SAALEHIL HUJJATE

The righteous successor, the proof

صَاحِبِ الزَّمَانِ

SAAHEBIZ ZAMAANE

The Master of the Age

فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

FA-SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALE MOHAMMADIN

So send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad

وَبَلِّغْهُ اِيَّاهَا وَاَعْطِنِي اَفْضَلَ اَمَلِي وَرَجَائِي فِيكَ وَفِي رَسُولِكَ

WA BALLIGH-HO IYYAAHAA WA A-A’TENEE AFZALA AMALEE WA RAJAAA-EE FEEKA WA FEE RASOOLEKA

And convey it to him, and grant me the best of hopes and aspirations in You and Your Messenger

صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ آلِهٖ اَجْمَعِينَ

SALAWAATOKA A’LAYHE WA A’LAA AALEHI AJMA-E’ENA

Your blessings be upon him and all his family

فَاِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ، وَاَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ، وَاَنْتَ الرَّحِيمُ

FA-INNAKA ANTAL WAHHAABO WA ANTAL GHAFOORO WA ANTAR RAHEEMO

Indeed, You are the Bestower, and You are the Forgiving, and You are the Merciful

وَاَنْتَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ، وَاَنْتَ الْمَلِكُ الْقُدُّوسُ

WA ANTAL A’LIYYUL KABEERO WA ANTAL MALEKUL QUDDOOSO

And You are the Most High, the Great, and You are the Sovereign, the Holy

وَاَنْتَ الْمُقْسِطُ، وَاَنْتَ الْحَكِيمُ، وَاَنْتَ الْوَكِيلُ

WA ANTAL MUQSETO WA ANTAL HAKEEMO WA ANTAL WAKEELO

And You are the Just, and You are the Wise, and You are the Trustee

وَاَنْتَ الْمُجِيبُ، وَاَنْتَ الْمُجِيرُ، وَاَنْتَ الْمُؤَيِّدُ

WA ANTAL MOJEEBO WA ANTAL MOJEERO WA ANTAL MO-AYYEDO

And You are the Responsive, and You are the Protector, and You are the Supporter

وَاَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ، وَاَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ، وَاَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْجَبَّارُ

WA ANTAL MOQADDEMO WA ANTAL MO-AKH-KHERO WA ANTAL A’ZEEZUL JABBAARO

And You are the One Who advances and delays, and You are the Mighty, the Compeller

وَاَنْتَ الْمُتَعَالِي، وَاَنْتَ الْحَكَمُ الْعَدْلُ

WA ANTAL MOTA-A’ALEE WA ANTAL HAKAMUL A’DLO

And You are the Most Exalted, and You are the Just Judge

فَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ

FA-SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALEHIT TAAHEREENA

So send blessings upon Muhammad and his pure family

وَاجْعَلْنِي مِنْ اَنْصَارِهٖ وَاَعْوَانِهٖ

WAJ A’LNEE MIN ANSAAREHI WA A-A’WAANEHI

And make me among his supporters and helpers

وَمِمَّنْ يَسْتَمِدُّ مِنْهُ الْقُوَّةَ وَالنَّصْرَ

WA MIMMAN-Y YASTAMIDDO MINHUL QUWWATA WAN NASRA

And among those who derive strength and victory from him

وَالْحِمَايَةَ وَالْعِزَّةَ وَالْمَجْدَ

WAL HEMAAYATA WAL I’ZZATA WAL MAJDA

And protection, honor, and glory

وَالْفَوْزَ وَالنَّجَاحَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ

WAL FAWZA WAN NAJAAHA FID DUNYAA WAL AAKHERATE

And success and triumph in this world and the Hereafter

وَاَنْ تُحِبَّنِي وَتُحِبَّنِي فِيْكَ

WA AN TOHIBBANEE WA TOHIBBANEE FEEKA

And that You love me and make me love You

وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي مِنْ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ اِلَيْكَ

WA AN TAJ-A’LANEE MENAL MOQARRABEENA ELAYKA

And that You make me among those brought near to You

وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي مِنْ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَالْفِرْدَوْسِ

WA AN TAJ-A’LANEE MIN AHLIL JANNATE WAL FIRDAWSE

And that You make me among the people of Paradise and the highest Garden

وَاَنْ تَجْعَلَنِي مِنْ اَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَعَ اَهْلِ بَيْتِ نَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهٖ

WA AN TAJ-A’LANEE MIN AHLIL JANNATE MA-A’ AHLE BAYTE NABIYYEKA MOHAMMADIN SALAWAATOKA A’LAYHE WA AALEHI

And that You make me among the people of Paradise with the family of Your Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family

آمِينَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ

AAMEENA YAA RABBAL A’ALAMEENA

Amen, O Lord of the worlds

آمِينَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ

AAMEENA YAA RABBAL A’ALAMEENA

Amen, O Lord of the Worlds

وَصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهٖ اَجْمَعِينَ

WA SALLAL LAAHO A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALEHI AJMA-E’ENA

And may Allah’s blessings be upon Muhammad and all his family

وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَىٰ

WAS SALAAMO A’LAA E’BAADEHIL LAZEENAS TAFAA

And peace be upon His chosen servants

مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ

MOHAMMADINW WA AALEHIT TAAHEREENA

Muhammad and his pure family

Then kiss the grave and enter humbly crying for surely this is the permission from them, blessings of Allah be on them all.

When you finish with the ziyaarat of the tenth and the eleventh Imams (a.s.), go to the cellar, stand on its door and say:

Then go down placing your right foot first and say:

After reaching in the cellar, face the Qiblah and say:

Then raise your hands and pray:

Thereafter, pray twelve units of prayers in your place, read whichever surahs you like and gift it to Imam-e-Zamaan (a.t.f.s.). After every two units of prayers, recite the tasbih of Janab-e-Zahra (s.a.) and say:

When you are through with the prayers, recite the supplication famous as ‘The supplication in occultation’ ([short form](E16) or [long form](E17)), which commences with the words: اللّٰهمّ عرِّفنِىْ نفسك فانّك ان لم تعرِّفني نفسك لم أعرف رسولك…

Second Ziyarat at the Sardab

You may stop at the gate of the holy vault and say the following words:

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خَلِيفةَ اللّٰهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA KHALEEFATAL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O vicegerent of Allah

وَخَلِيفَةَ آبَائِهِ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ

WA KHALEEFATA AABAAA-EHIL MAHDIYYEENA

and vicegerent of your well-guided fathers.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَصِيَّ الَاوْصِيَاءِ الْمَاضِينَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA WASIYYAL AWSEYAAA-IL MAAZEENA

Peace be upon you, O successor of the past successors (of the Prophets).

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَافِظَ اَسْرَارِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA HAAFEZA ASRAARE RABBIL A’ALAMEENA

Peace be upon you, O keeper of the secrets of the Lord of the worlds.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَقِيَّةَ اللّٰهِ مِنَ الصَّفْوَةِ الْمُنْتَجَبِينَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA BAQIYYATAL LAAHE MENAS SAFWATIL MUNTAJABEENA

Peace be upon you, O Allah’s remainder from among the elite, select ones.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ الَانْوَارِ الزَّاهِرَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL ANWAARIZ ZAAHERATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the luminous lights.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ الَاعْلَامِ الْبَاهِرَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL A-A’LAAMIL BAAHERATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the splendid signs.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ الْعِتْرَةِ الطَّاهِرَةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YABNAL I’TRATIT TAAHERATE

Peace be upon you, O son of the immaculate progeny.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَعْدِنَ الْعُلُومِ النَّبَوِيَّةِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA MA’DENAL O’LOOMIN NABAWIYYATE

Peace be upon you, O essence of the Prophetic knowledge.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بَابَ اللّٰهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA BAABAL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O Allah’s gate;

الَّذِي لََا يُؤْتَىٰ اِِلَّا مِنْهُ

ALLAZEE LAA YOATAA ILLAA MINHO

the only gate from which one can enter to Him.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سَبِيلَ اللّٰهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA SABEELAL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O Allah’s course

الَّذِي مَنْ سَلَكَ غَيْرَهٗ هَلَكَ

ALLAZEE MAN SALAKA GHAYRAHU HALAKA

that perdition will be the result of anyone who takes other than it.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نَاظِرَ شَجَرَةِ طُوبَىٰ وَسِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA NAAZERA SHAJARATE TOOBAA WA SIDRATIL MUNTAHAA

Peace be upon you, O observer of the Tree of Bliss (tuba) and the Farthest Lot-tree.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ اللّٰهِ الَّذِي لََا يُطْفَىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA NOORAL LAAHIL LAZEE LAA YUTFAA

Peace be upon you, O Allah’s light that never extinguishes.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ الَّتِي لََا تَخْفَىٰ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA HUJJATAL LAAHIL LATEE LAA TAKHFAA

Peace be upon you, O Allah’s decisive argument that is never hidden.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA HUJJATAL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O Allah’s decisive argument

عَلَىٰ مَنْ فِي الَارْضِ وَالسَّمَاءِ

A’LAA MAN FIL ARZE WAS SAMAAA-E

against all those on the earth and in the heavens.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ سَلَامَ مَنْ عَرَفَكَ بِمَا عَرَّفَكَ بِهِ اللّٰهُ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA SALAAMA MAN A’RAFAKA BEMAA A’RRAFAKA BEHIL LAAHO

Peace be upon you; a salutation of one who recognizes you as exactly as Allah has introduced you

وَنَعَتَكَ بِبَعْضِ نُعُوتِكَ

WA NA-A’TAKA BE-BA’ZE NO-O’OTEKA

and one who mentions only some of your characteristics

الَّتِي اَنْتَ اَهْلُهَا وَفَوْقَهَا

ALLATEE ANTA AHLOHAA WA FAWQAHAA

that you are worthy of and even more.

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ الْحُجَّةُ عَلَىٰ مَنْ مَضَىٰ وَمَنْ بَقِيَ

ASH-HADO ANNAKAL HUJJATO A’LAA MAM MAZAA WA MAN BAQEYA

I bear witness that you are the argument against the past and the coming generations,

وَاَنَّ حِزْبَكَ هُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ

WA ANNA HIZBAKA HOMUL GHAALEBOONA

your party are the true triumphant,

وَاَوْلِيَاءَكَ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ

WA AWLEYAAA-AKA HOMUL FAAA-EZOONA

your friends are the true winners,

وَاَعْدَاءَكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ

WA A-A’DAAA-AKA HOMUL KHAASEROONA

your enemies are truly losers,

وَاَنَّكَ خَازِنُ كُلِّ عِلْمٍ

WA ANNAKA KHAAZENO KULLE I’LMIN

you are the keeper of the entire knowledge,

وَفَاتِقُ كُلِّ رَتْقٍ

WA FAATEQO KULLE RATQIN

you are the opener of all closed things,

وَمُحَقِّقُ كُلِّ حَقٍّ

WA MOHAQQEQO KULLE HAQQIN

you are the establisher of all truths,

وَمُبْطِلُ كُلِّ بَاطِلٍ

WA MUBTELO KULLE BAATELIN

and you are the eradicator of all wrong things.

رَضِيتُكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ اِِمَاماً وَهَادِياً

RAZEETOKA YAA MAWLAAYA EMAAMANW WA HAADEYAN

O my master, I accept you as my leader, guide,

وَوَلِيّاً وَمُرْشِداً

WA WALIYYANW WA MURSHEDAN

master, and adviser.

لََا اَبْتَغي بِكَ بَدَلَاً

LAA ABTAGHEE BEKA BADALAN

I never seek any alternative

وَلَا اَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِكَ وَلِيّاً

WA LAA ATTAKHEZO MIN DOONEKA WALIYYAN

and I never betake myself any master save You.

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ الْحَقُّ الثَّابِتُ

ASH-HADO ANNAKAL HAQQUS SAABETO

I bear witness that you are verily the unchanging truth

الَّذِي لََا عَيْبَ فِيهِ

ALLAZEE LAA A’YBA FEEHE

that is free of any defect

وَاَنَّ وَعْدَ اللّٰهِ فِيكَ حَقٌّ

WA ANNA WA’DAL LAAHE FEEKA HAQQUN

and that Allah’s promise concerning you is so true

لََا اَرْتَابُ لِطُولِ الغَيْبَةِ وَبُعْدِ الَامَدِ

LAA ARTAABO LE-TOOLIL GHAYBATE WA BO’DIL AMADE

that I never doubt no matter how long the occultation will take and the time (of your advent) will be far

وَلَا اَتَحَيَّرُ مَعَ مَنْ جَهِلَكَ وَجَهِلَ بِكَ

WA LAA ATAHAYYARO MA-A’ MAN JAHELAKA WA JAHELA BEKA

and I will never have misgivings like those who ignore you and ignore the truth that you represent

مُنْتَظِرٌ مُتَوَقِّعٌ لَايَّامِكَ

MUNTAZERUM MOTAWAQQE-U’L LE-AYYAAMEKA

and I am waiting and expecting your age,

وَاَنْتَ الشَّافِعُ الَّذِي لََا تُنَازَعُ

WA ANTASH SHAAFE-U’L LAZEE LAA TONAAZA-O’

for you are the unmatched intercessor

وَالْوَلِيُّ الَّذِي لََا تُدَافَعُ

WAL WALIYYUL LAZEE LAA TODAAFA-O’

and the irrefutable master.

ذَخَرَكَ اللّٰهُ لِنُصْرَةِ الدِّينِ

ZAKHARAKAL LAAHO LE-NUSRATID DEENE

Allah has saved you for the support of the religion,

وَاِِعْزَازِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

WA E-E’ZAAZIL MOAMENEENA

for the fortification of the believers,

وَالِانْتِقَامِ مِنَ الْجَاحِدِينَ الْمَارِقِينَ

WAL INTEQAAME MENAL JAAHEDEENAL MAAREQEENA

and for retaliating upon the deniers and the apostates.

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّ بِوِلَايَتِكَ تُقْبَلُ الَاعْمَالُ

ASH-HADO ANNA BE-WELAAYATEKA TUQBALUL A-A’MAALO

I bear witness that through the loyalty to you, deeds are approved,

وَتُزَكَّىٰ الَافْعَالُ

WA TOZAKKAL AF-A’ALO

acts are purified,

وَتُضَاعَفُ الْحَسَنَاتُ

WA TOZAA-A’FUL HASANAATO

rewards are doubled,

وَتُمْحَىٰ السَّيِّئَاتُ

WA TUMHAS SAYYE-AATO

and punishments for wrongdoings are erased.

فَمَنْ جَاءَ بِوِلَايَتِكَ

FAMAN JAAA-A BE-WELAAYATEKA

Therefore, he who bears loyalty to you

وَاعْتَرَفَ بِاِِمَامَتِكَ

WA’TARAFA BE-EMAAMATEKA

and recognizes your Imamate

قُبِلَتْ اَعْمَالُهُ

QOBELAT A-A’MAALOHU

will have his deeds approved,

وَصُدِّقَتْ اَقْوَالُهُ

WA SUDDEQAT AQWAALOHU

his sayings credited,

وَتَضَاعَفَتْ حَسَنَاتُهٗ

WA TAZAA-A’FAT HASANAATOHU

his rewards doubled,

وَمُحِيَتْ سَيِّئَاتُهٗ

WA MOHEYAT SAYYE-AATOHU

and his wrongdoings erased;

وَمَنْ عَدَلَ عَنْ وِلَايَتِكَ

WA MAN A’DALA A’NW WELAAYATEKA

while if he rejects loyalty to you,

وَجَهِلَ مَعْرِفَتَكَ

WA JAHELA MA’REFATAKA

ignores the recognition of you,

وَاسْتَبْدَلَ بِكَ غَيْرَكَ

WAS TABDALA BEKA GHAYRAKA

and follows anyone else,

كَبَّهُ اللّٰهُ عَلَىٰ مَنْخَرِهٖ فِي النَّارِ

KABBAHUL LAAHO A’LAA MANKHAREHI FIN NAARE

Allah shall throw him down in Hellfire on the nose,

وَلَمْ يَقْبَلِ اللّٰهُ لَهٗ عَمَلَاً

WA LAM YAQBALIL LAAHO LAHU A’MALAN

shall never approve of any of his acts,

وَلَمْ يُقِمْ لَهٗ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَزْناً

WA LAM YOQIM LAHU YAWMAL QEYAAMATE WAZNAN

and shall never set up a balance for him on the Day of Resurrection.

اُشْهِدُ اللّٰهَ وَاُشْهِدُ مَلَائِكَتَهٗ

USH-HEDUL LAAHA WA USH-HEDO MALAAA-EKATAHU

I ask Allah and His angels

وَاُشْهِدُكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ بِهٰذَا

WA USH-HEDOKA YAA MAWLAAYA BE-HAAZAA

and you, my master, to testify to this for me;

ظَاهِرُهٗ كَبَاطِنِهٖ

ZAAHEROHU KABAATENEHI

the outward of this declaration is as same as its inward,

وَسِرُّهٗ كَعَلَانِيَتِهٖ

WA SIRROHU KA-A’LAANEYATEHI

and its secret is as same as its overtness;

وَاَنْتَ الشَّاهِدُ عَلَىٰ ذٰلِكَ

WA ANTASH SHAAHEDO A’LAA ZAALEKA

and you are the witness on this declaration,

وَهُوَ عَهْدِي اِِلَيْكَ

WA HOWA A’HDEE ELAYKA

and this is my pledge with you

وَمِيثَاقِي لَدَيْكَ

WA MEESAAQEE LADAYKA

and my covenant to you

اِِذْ اَنْتَ نِظَامُ الدِّينِ

IZ ANTA NEZAAMUD DEENE

since you are verily the system of the religion,

وَيَعْسُوبُ الْمُتَّقِينَ

WA YA’SOOBUL MUTTAQEENA

the leader of the pious ones,

وَعِزُّ الْمُوَحِّدِينَ

WA I’ZZUL MOWAHHEDEENA

and the dignity of the monotheists.

وَبِذٰلِكَ اَمَرَنِي رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ

WA BE-ZAALEKA AMARANEE RABBUL A’ALAMEENA

This is the command of the Lord of the Worlds to me.

فَلَوْ تَطَاوَلَتِ الدُّهُورُ

FALAW TATAAWALATID DOHOORO

Even if times take longer periods

وَتَمَادَتِ الَاعْمَارُ

WA TAMAADATIL A-A’MAARO

and ages extend,

لَمْ اَزْدَدْ فِيكَ اِِلَّا يَقِيناً

LAM AZDAD FEEKA ILLAA YAQEENAN

this will increase in me nothing but more belief in you,

وَلَكَ اِِلَّا حُبّاً

WA LAKA ILLAA HUBBAN

love for you,

وَعَلَيْكَ اِِلَّا مُتَّكَلَاً وَمُعْتَمَداً

WA A’LAYKA ILLAA MUTTAKALANW WA MO’TAMADAN

reliance on and trust in you,

وَلِظُهُورِكَ اِِلَّا مُتَوَقِّعاً وَمُنْتَظِراً

WA LE-ZOHOOREKA ILLAA MOTAWAQQE-A’NW WA MUNTAZERAN

anticipation and expectation of your advent,

وَلِجِهَادِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ مُتَرَقِّباً

WA LE-JEHAADEE BAYNA YADAYKA MOTARAQQEBAN

and waiting to strive hard in your presence.

فَاَبْذُلُ نَفْسِي وَمَالِي

FA-ABZOLO NAFSEE WA MAALEE

So, I sacrifice myself, my fortune,

وَوَلَدِي وَاَهْلِي

WA WALADEE WA AHLEE

my sons, my family members,

وَجَمِيعَ مَا خَوَّلَنِي رَبِّي بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ

WA JAMEE-A’ MAA KHAWWALANEE RABBEE BAYNA YADAYKA

and all that which my Lord has granted me for your sake

وَالتَّصَرُّفَ بَيْنَ اَمْرِكَ وَنَهْيِكَ

WAT TASARROFA BAYNA AMREKA WA NAHYEKA

and for obeying your orders and refraining from that which you order me not to do.

مَوْلَايَ فَاِنْ اَدْرَكْتُ اَيَّامَكَ الزَّاهِرَةَ

MAWLAAYA FA-IN ADRAKTO AYYAAMAKAZ ZAAHERATA

O my master, If I catch your thriving days

وَاَعْلَامَكَ الْبَاهِرَةَ

WA A-A’LAAMAKAL BAAHERATA

and see your splendid signs,

فَهَا اَنَا ذَا عَبْدُكَ

FAHAA ANAA ZAA A’BDOKA

then, here I, a servant of you,

الْمُتَصَرِّفُ بَيْنَ اَمْرِكَ وَنَهْيِكَ

ALMOTASARREFO BAYNA AMREKA WA NAHYEKA

am yielding to your orders and abstaining from that which you order me not to do.

اَرْجُو بِهِ الشَّهَادَةَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ

ARJOO BEHISH SHAHAADATA BAYNA YADAYKA

Through all that, I hope for martyrdom in your presence

وَالْفَوْزَ لَدَيْكَ

WAL FAWZA LADAYKA

and success in your view.

مَوْلَايَ فَاِنْ اَدْرَكَنِيَ الْمَوْتُ قَبْلَ ظُهُورِكَ

MAWLAAYA FA-IN ADRAKANEYAL MAWTO QABLA ZOHOOREKA

O my master, but if death comes upon me before your advent,

فَاِنِّي اَتَوَسَّلُ بِكَ

FA-INNEE ATAWASSALO BEKA

then I beseech you

وَبِآبَائِكَ الطَّاهِرِينَ اِِلَىٰ اللّٰهِ تَعَالَىٰ

WA BE-AABAAA-EKAT TAAHEREENA ELAL LAAHE TA-A’ALAA

and your immaculate fathers to mediate for me before Allah the All-exalted

وَاَسْاَلُهُ اَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

WA AS-ALOHU AN-Y YOSALLEYA A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALE MOHAMMADIN

Whom I pray to send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَاَنْ يَجْعَلَ لِي كَرَّةً فِي ظُهُورِكَ

WA AN-Y YAJ-A’LA LEE KARRATAN FEE ZOHOOREKA

and to decide for me a return after your advent

وَرَجْعَةً فِي اَيَّامِكَ

WA RAJ-A’TAN FEE AYYAAMEKA

and a second life during your days

لَابْلُغَ مِنْ طَاعَتِكَ مُرَادِي

LE-ABLOGHA MIN TAA-A’TEKA MORAADEE

so that I will attain obedience to you, which is my desire,

وَاَشْفِيَ مِنْ اَعْدَائِكَ فُؤَادِي

WA ASHFEYA MIN A-A’DAAA-EKA FO-AADEE

and to heal my heart from your enemies.

مَوْلَايَ وَقَفْتُ فِي زِيَارَتِكَ

MAWLAAYA WAQAFTO FEE ZEYAARATEKA

O my master, while I am visiting you, I am standing

مَوْقِفَ الْخَاطِئِينَ النَّادِمِينَ

MAWQEFAL KHAATE-EENAN NAADEMEENA

in the position of the repentant wrongdoers,

الْخَائِفِينَ مِنْ عِقَابِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

ALKHAAA-EFEENA MIN E’QAABE RABBIL A’ALAMEENA

who fear the chastisement of the Lord of the Worlds

وَقَدِ اتَّكَلْتُ عَلَىٰ شَفَاعَتِكَ

WA QADIT TAKALTO A’LAA SHAFAA-A’TEKA

and I am, meanwhile, depending upon your intercession for me

وَرَجَوْتُ بِمُوَالَاتِكَ وَشَفَاعَتِكَ

WA RAJAWTO BE-MOWAALAATEKA WA SHAFAA-A’TEKA

and I, through my loyalty to you and your intercession for me, wish for

مَحْوَ ذُنُوبِي

MAHWA ZONOOBEE

eradication of my sins,

وَسَتْرَ عُيُوبِي

WA SATRA O’YOOBEE

covering of my defects,

وَمَغْفِرَةَ زَلَلِي

WA MAGHFERATA ZALALEE

and forgiveness of my slips.

فَكُنْ لِوَلِيِّكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ

FAKUL LE-WALIYYEKA YAA MAWLAAYA

So, O my master, (please) help me—your servant—

عِنْدَ تَحْقِيقِ اَمَلِهٖ

I’NDA TAHQEEQE AMALEHI

to achieve my hope

وَاسْاَلِ اللّٰهَ غُفْرَانَ زَلَلِهِ

WAS ALIL LAAHA GHUFRAANA ZALALEHI

and (please) ask Allah to forgive my slips.

فَقَدْ تَعَلَّقَ بِحَبْلِكَ

FAQAD TA-A’LLAQA BE-HABLEKA

Verily, I am clinging to your rope,

وَتَمَسَّكَ بِوِلَايَتِكَ

WA TAMASSAKA BE-WELAAYATEKA

holding on my loyalty to you,

وَتَبَرَّاَ مِنْ اَعْدَائِكَ

WA TABARRA-A MIN A-A’DAAA-EKA

and declaring my disavowal of your enemies.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهٖ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALEHI

O Allah, (please) bless Muhammad and his Household

وَاَنْجِزْ لِوَلِيِّكَ مَا وَعَدْتَهٗ

WA ANJIZ LE-WALIYYEKA MAA WA-A’DTAHU

and fulfill Your promise to Your Vicegerent.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَظْهِرْ كَلِمَتَهٗ

ALLAAHUMMA AZHIR KALEMATAHU

O Allah, (please) make prevalent his word,

وَاَعْلِ دَعْوَتَهٗ

WA A-A’LE DA’WATAHU

elevate his mission,

وَانْصُرْهُ عَلَىٰ عَدُوِّهٖ وَعَدُوِّكَ

WAN SURHO A’LAA A’DUWWEHI WA A’DUWWEKA

and support him against Your and his enemies,

يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ

YAA RABBAL A’ALAMEENA

O Lord of the Worlds!

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍٍ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALE MOHAMMADIN

O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

وَاَظْهِرْ كَلِمَتَكَ التَّامَّةَ

WA AZHIR KALEMATAKAT TAAMMATA

and allow Your Perfect Word,

وَمُغَيَّبَكَ فِي اَرْضِكَ

WA MOGHAYYABAKA FEE ARZEKA

Your concealed one in Your lands,

الْخَائِفَ الْمُتَرَقِّبَ

ALKHAAA-EFAL MOTARAQQEBA

the afraid, and the vigilant, to reappear.

اَللّٰهُمَّ انْصُرْهُ نَصْراً عَزِيزاً

ALLAAHUMMAN SURHO NASRAN A’ZEEZAN

O Allah, (please) support him with powerful support

وَافْتَحْ لَهٗ فَتْحاً يَسِيراً

WAF TAH LAHU FAT-HAN-Y YASEERAN

and give him a nigh victory.

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَاَعِزَّ بِهِ الدِّينَ بَعْدَ الْخُمُولِ

ALLAAHUMMA WA A-I’ZZA BEHID DEENA BA’DAL KHOMOOLE

O Allah, (please) fortify the religion through him after it has been sluggish,

وَاَطْلِعْ بِهِ الْحَقَّ بَعْدَ الاُفُولِ

WA ATLE’ BEHIL HAQQA BA’DAL OFOOLE

demonstrate the truth through him after it has declined,

وَاَجْلِ بِهِ الظُّلْمَةَ

WA AJLE BEHIZ ZULMATA

remove darkness through him,

وَاكْشِفْ بِهِ الْغُمَّةَ

WAK SHIF BEHIL GHUMMATA

and relieve the grief through him.

اَللّٰهُمَّ وَآمِنْ بِهِ الْبِلَادَ

ALLAAHUMMA WA AAMIN BEHIL BELAADA

O Allah, (please) spread security over the lands through him

وَاهْدِ بِهِ الْعِبَادَ

WAH DE BEHIL E’BAADA

and guide the servants (of You) through him.

اَللّٰهُمَّ امْلَاْ بِهِ الَارْضَ عَدْلَاً وَقِسْطاً

ALLAAHUMMAM LA-A BEHIL ARZA A’DLANW WA QISTAN

O Allah, (please) fill the earth with justice and equality through him

كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْماً وَجَوْراً

KAMAA MOLE-AT ZULMANW WA JAWRAN

as it is filled with injustice and wrong.

اِِنَّكَ سَمِيعٌ مُجِيبٌ

INNAKA SAMEE-U’M MOJEEBUN

Verily, You are All-hearing and Responding.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ اللّٰهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAYKA YAA WALIYYAL LAAHE

Peace be upon you, O Allah’s vicegerent.

اِئْذَنْ لِوَلِيِّكَ فِي الدُّخُولِ اِلَىٰ حَرَمِكَ

EEZAL LE-WALIYYEKA FID DOKHOOLE ELAA HARAMEKA

(please) permit me, your servant, to enter your sanctuary.

صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكَ

SALAWAATUL LAAHE A’LAYKA

May Allah’s blessings be upon you

وَعَلَىٰ آبَائِكَ الطَّاهِرِينَ

WA A’LAA AABAAA-EKAT TAAHEREENA

and upon your immaculate fathers.

وَرَحْمَةُ اللّٰهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

WA RAHMATUL LAAHE WA BARAKAATOHU

Allah’s mercy and benedictions be upon you.

You may then come to the Occultation Vault and stop between the two doors, holding the door’s side with your hand. You may then hem and haw, as if you are seeking permission of entrance, and say these words:

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ

BISMIL LAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEME

In the Name of Allah; the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.

You may now come down with tranquility and present-heartedness. Offer a two-unit prayer in the yard of the vault and say the following words:

اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ اللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ

ALLAAHO AKBARUL LAAHO AKBARUL LAAHO AKBARO

Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the Most Great.

لََا اِِلٰهَ اِِلَّا اللّٰهُ

LAA ELAAHA ILLAL LAAHO

There is no god save Allah.

وَاللّٰهُ اَكْبَرُ وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ

WAL LAAHO AKBARO WA LILLAAHIL HAMDO

Allah is the Most Great and to Allah be all praise.

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي هَدَانَا لِهٰذَا

ALHAMDO LILLAAHIL LAZEE HADAANAA LE-HAAZAA

All praise be to Allah Who has guided us to this,

وَعَرَّفَنَا اَوْلِيَاءَهٗ وَاَعْدَاءَهٗ

WA A’RRAFANAA AWLEYAAA-AHU WA A-A’DAAA-AHU

made us discriminate between His friends and enemies,

وَوَفَّقَنَا لِزِيَارَةِ اَئِمَّتِنَا

WA WAFFAQANAA LE-ZEYAARATE A-IMMATENAA

granted us success to visit our Imams,

وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعَانِدِينَ النَّاصِبِينَ

WA LAM YAJ-A’LNAA MENAL MO-A’ANEDEENAN NAASEBEENA

and has not made us of the obdurate antagonists (of the truth),

وَلَا مِنَ الْغُلَاةِ الْمُفَوِّضِينَ

WA LAA MENAL GHOLAATIL MOFAWWEZEENA

nor of the immoderate indeterminists,

وَلَا مِنَ الْمُرْتَابِينَ الْمُقَصِّرِينَ

WA LAA MENAL MURTAABEENAL MOQASSEREENA

nor of the suspicious and negligent.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ وَلِيِّ اللّٰهِ وَابْنِ اَوْلِيَائِهٖ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA WALIYYIL LAAHE WABNE AWLEYAAA-EHI

Peace be upon Allah’s vicegerent and son of His vicegerents.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ الْمُدَّخَرِ لِكَرَامَةِ اَوْلِيَاءِ اللّٰهِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAL MUDDAKHARE LE-KARAAMATE AWLEYAAA-IL LAAHE

Peace be upon the one saved for achieving dignity of Allah’s intimate servants

وَبَوَارِ اَعْدَاءِهٖ

WA BAWAARE A-A’DAAA-EHI

and for ruining Allah’s enemies.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ النُّورِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAN NOORE

Peace be upon the light

الَّذِي اَرَادَ اَهْلُ الْكُفْرِ اِِطْفَاءَهٗ

ALLAZEE ARAADA AHLUL KUFRE ITFAAA-AHU

that the people of atheism intend to extinguish;

فَاَبَىٰ اللّٰهُ اِِلَّا اَنْ يُتِمَّ نُورَهٗ بِكُرْهِهِمْ

FA-ABAL LAAHO ILLAA AN-Y YOTIMMA NOORAHU BE-KURHEHIM

but Allah would not allow but that His light should be perfected, despite their contempt.

وَاَيَّدَهٗ بِالْحَيَاةِ

WA AYYADAHU BIL-HAYAATE

He thus supported him with survival

حَتَّىٰ يُظْهِرَ عَلَىٰ يَدِهِ الْحَقَّ بِرَغْمِهِمْ

HATTAA YUZHERA A’LAA YADEHIL HAQQA BE-RAGHMEHIM

so that He shall make prevalent the truth at his hands against their will.

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ اصْطَفَاكَ صَغِيراً

ASH-HADO ANNAL LAAHAS TAFAAKA SAGHEERAN

I bear witness that Allah has chosen you since you were little

وَاَكْمَلَ لَكَ عُلُومَهٗ كَبِيراً

WA AKMALA LAKA O’LOOMAHU KABEERAN

and perfected His knowledge for you when you grew up;

وَاَنَّكَ حَيٌّ لََا تَمُوتُ

WA ANNAKA HAYYUL LAA TAMOOTO

and that you are alive and you will not die

حَتَّىٰ تُبْطِلَ الْجِبْتَ وَالطَّاغُوتَ

HATTAA TUBTELAL JIBTA WAT TAAGHOOTA

before you efface all idols and false deities.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَيْهِ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAYHE

O Allah, (please) bless him

وَعَلَىٰ خُدَّامِهٖ وَاَعْوَانِهٖ عَلَىٰ غَيْبَتِهٖ وَنَاْيِهٖ

WA A’LAA KHUDDAAMEHI WA A-A’WAANEHI A’LAA GHAYBATEHI WA NAAYEHI

and his servants and those who helped him to occult and hide from sights,

وَاسْتُرْهُ سَتْراً عَزِيزاً

WAS TURHO SATRAN A’ZEEZAN

cover him with invulnerable covering,

وَاجْعَلْ لَهٗ مَعْقِلَاً حَرِيزاً

WAJ A’L LAHU MA’QELAN HAREEZAN

arrange for him an invincible haven,

وَاشْدُدِ اللّٰهُمَّ وَطْاَتَكَ عَلَىٰ مُعَانِدِيهِ

WASH DODIL LAAHUMMA WAT-ATAKA A’LAA MO-A’ANEDEEHE

increase, O Allah, Your intensity on those who resist him obdurately,

وَاحْرُسْ مَوَالِيَهٗ وَزَائِرِيهِ

WAH RUS MAWAALEYAHU WA ZAAA-EREEHE

and guard his loyalists and visitors.

اَللّٰهُمَّ كَمَا جَعَلْتَ قَلْبِي بِذِكْرِهٖ مَعْمُوراً

ALLAAHUMMA KAMAA JA-A’LTA QALBEE BE-ZIKREHI MA’MOORAN

O Allah, just as You have made my heart full of reference to him,

فَاجْعَلْ سِلَاحِي بِنُصْرَتِهٖ مَشْهُوراً

FAJ-A’L SELAAHEE BE-NUSRATEHI MASH-HOORAN

so also (please) make my weapon prepared in support of him.

وَاِِنْ حَالَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ لِقَائِهِ

WA IN HAALA BAYNEE WA BAYNA LEQAAA-EHI

If there comes between me and meeting him

الْمَوْتُ الَّذِي جَعَلْتَهٗ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِكَ حَتْماً

ALMAWTUL LAZEE JA-A’LTAHU A’LAA E’BAADEKA HATMAN

death, which You have made inescapable for Your servants

وَاَقْدَرْتَ بِهٖ عَلَىٰ خَلِيقَتِكَ رَغْماً

WA AQDARTA BEHI A’LAA KHALEEQATEKA RAGHMAN

and have imposed upon Your creatures whether they will or not,

فَابْعَثْنِي عِنْدَ خُرُوجِهٖ

FAB-A’SNEE I’NDA KHOROOJEHI

then (please) restore me to life at his advent,

ظَاهِراً مِنْ حُفْرَتِي

ZAAHERAM MIN HUFRATEE

coming out from my hole (i.e. grave),

مُؤْتَزِراً كَفَنِي

MOATAZERAN KAFANEE

and using my shroud as my garment

حَتَّىٰ اُجَاهِدَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ

HATTAA OJAAHEDA BAYNA YADAYHE

so that I will fight strivingly in his presence

فِي الصَّفِّ الَّذِي اَثْنَيْتَ عَلَىٰ اَهْلِهٖ

FIS SAFFIL LAZEE ASNAYTA A’LAA AHLEHI

in the line whose people have been praised by You

فِي كِتَابِكَ فَقُلْتَ:

FEE KETAABEKA FAQULTA

in Your Book where You say,

«كَاَنَّهُمْ بُنْيَانٌ مَرْصُوصٌ»

KA-ANNAHUM BUNYAANUM MARSOOSUN

“…as if they were a firm and compact wall.”

اَللّٰهُمَّ طَالَ الِانْتِظَارُ

ALLAAHUMMA TAALAL INTEZAARO

O Allah, too long has been the expectation,

وَشَمِتَ مِنَا الْفُجَّارُ

WA SHAMETA MINNAL FUJJAARO

the wicked are gloating at our misfortune,

وَصَعُبَ عَلَيْنَا الِانْتِصَارُ

WA SA-O’BA A’LAYNAL INTESAARO

and victory has been difficult for us.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَرِنَا وَجْهَ وَلِيِّكَ الْمَيْمُونَ

ALLAAHUMMA ARENAA WAJHA WALIYYEKAL MAYMOONA

O Allah, (please) show us the blessed face of Your vicegerent

فِي حَيَاتِنَا وَبَعْدَ الْمَنُونِ

FEE HAYAATENAA WA BA’DAL MANOONE

in our lifetimes and after death.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اِِنِّي اَدِينُ لَكَ بِالرَّجْعَةِ

ALLAAHUMMA INNEE ADEENO LAKA BIR-RAJ-A’TE

O Allah, I profess of the Return as my faith

بَيْنَ يَدَيْ صَاحِبِ هٰذِهِ الْبُقْعَةِ

BAYNA YADAY SAAHEBE HAAZEHIL BUQ-A’TE

in the presence of the owner of this area.

الْغَوْثَ الْغَوْثَ الْغَوْثَ

ALGHAWSAL GHAWSAL GHAWSA

[I beseech for] Relief, relief, relief.

يَا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ

YAA SAAHEBAZ ZAMAANE

O Patron of the Age!

قَطَعْتُ فِي وُصْلَتِكَ الْخُلَّانَ

QATA’TO FEE WUSLATEKAL KHULLAANA

I have ruptured my relations with many friends in order to build good relations with you,

وَهَجَرْتُ لِزِيَارَتِكَ الَاوْطَانَ

WA HAJARTO LE-ZEYAARATEKAL AWTAANA

I have deserted my homeland in order to visit you,

وَاَخْفَيْتُ اَمْرِي عَنْ اَهْلِ الْبُلْدَانِ

WA AKHFAYTO AMREE A’N AHLIL BULDAANE

and I have concealed my intention from the peoples of the towns

لِتَكُونَ شَفِيعاً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ وَرَبِّي

LE-TAKOONA SHAFEE-A’N I’NDA RABBEKA WA RABBEE

so that you may be my intercessor with your and my Lord

اِلَىٰ آبَائِكَ وَمَوَالِيَّ

ELAA AABAAA-EKA WA MAWAALIYYA

and with your fathers and my masters,

فِي حُسْنِ التَّوْفِيقِ لِي

FEE HUSNIT TAWFEEQE LEE

seeking excellence of success,

وِاِِسْبَاغِ النِّعْمَةِ عَلَيَّ

WA ISBAAGHIN NE’MATE A’LAYYA

conferral of bounties,

وَسَوْقِ الاِحْسَانِ اِِلَيَّ

WA SAWQIL EHSAANE ELAYYA

and making charitable acts run towards me.

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍٍ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALE MOHAMMADIN

O Allah, (please) send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad

اَصْحَابِ الْحَقِّ

AS-HAABIL HAQQE

the rightful ones

وَقَادَةِ الْخَلْقِ

WA QAADATIL KHALQE

and the leaders of the creatures,

وَاسْتَجِبْ مِنِّي مَا دَعَوْتُكَ

WAS TAJIB MINNEE MAA DA-A’WTOKA

and (please) respond to me in what I have besought You for

وَاَعْطِنِي مَا لَمْ اَنْطِقْ بِهٖ فِي دُعَائِي

WA A-A’TENEE MAA LAM ANTIQ BEHI FEE DO-A’A-EE

and grant me all that which I have not mentioned in my prayer,

مِنْ صَلَاحِ دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ

MIN SALAAHE DEENEE WA DUNYAAYA

such as the uprightness of my faith and my worldly affairs.

اِِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

INNAKA HAMEEDUM MAJEEDUN

You are verily worthy of praise and worthy of glory.

وَصَلِّىٰ اللّٰهُ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ

WA SALLAL LAAHO A’LAA MOHAMMADINW WA AALEHIT TAAHEREENA

May Allah bless Muhammad and his Immaculate Household.

You may then enter the hall, offer a two-unit prayer, and say the following words:

اَللّٰهُمَّ عَبْدُكَ الزَّائِرُ

ALLAAHUMMA A’BDOKAZ ZAAA-ERO

O Allah, I—Your visiting servant—

فِي فِنَاءِ وَلِيِّكَ الْمَزُورِ

FEE FENAAA-E WALIYYEKAL MAZOORE

am in the yard of Your visited vicegerent

الَّذِي فَرَضْتَ طَاعَتَهٗ عَلَىٰ الْعَبِيدِ وَالَاحْرَارِ

ALLAZEE FARAZTA TAA-A’TAHU A’LAL A’BEEDE WAL AHRAARE

the obedience to whom has been made obligatory by You on the slaves and the free

وَاَنْقَذْتَ بِهٖ اَوْلِيَاءَكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ

WA ANQAZTA BEHI AWLEYAAA-AKA MIN A’ZAABIN NAARE

and through whom You shall save Your intimate servants from the chastisement of Hellfire.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا زِيَارَةً مَقْبُولَةً

ALLAAHUMMAJ A’LHAA ZEYAARATAM MAQBOOLATAN

O Allah, (please) decide it to be an admitted visitation

ذَاتَ دُعَاءٍ مُسْتَجَابٍ

ZAATA DO-A’A-IM MUSTAJAABIN

of a granted prayer

مِنْ مُصَدِّقٍ بِوَلِيِّكَ غَيْرِ مُرْتَابٍ

MIM MOSADDEQIN BE-WALIYYEKA GHAYRE MURTAABIN

from one who gives full credence to Your vicegerent and who never suspects him.

اَللّٰهُمَّ لََا تَجْعَلْهُ آخِرَ الْعَهْدِ بِهٖ وَلَا بِزِيَارَتِهٖ

ALLAAHUMMA LAA TAJ-A’LHO AAKHERAL A’HDE BEHI WA LAA BE-ZEYAARATEHI

O Allah, (please) do not decide this to be the last of my presence and visitation to him

وَلَا تَقْطَعْ اَثَرِي مِنْ مَشْهَدِهٖ

WA LAA TAQTA’ ASAREE MIM MASH-HADEHI

and do not cut off my traces in his shrine

وَزِيَارَةِ اَبِيهِ وَجَدِّهٖ

WA ZEYAARATE ABEEHE WA JADDEHI

and in visitation to his father and grandfather.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اَخْلِفْ عَلَيَّ نَفَقَتِي

ALLAAHUMMA AKHLIF A’LAYYA NAFAQATEE

O Allah, (please) compensate for me my expenditure,

وَانْفَعْنِي بِمَا رَزَقْتَنِي

WAN FA’NEE BEMAA RAZAQTANEE

make me benefit from the sustenance that You have provided me

فِي دُنْيَايَ وَآخِرَتِي

FEE DUNYAAYA WA AAKHERATEE

in my worldly life and in my Next Life,

لِي وَلاِِِخْوَانِي وَاَبَوَيَّ

LEE WA LE-IKHWAANEE WA ABAWAYYA

and do the same to my brothers, parents,

وَجَمِيعِ عِتْرَتِي

WA JAMEE-E’ I’TRATEE

and all of my offspring.

اَسْتَودِعُكَ اللّٰهَ اَيُّهَا الاِمَامُ

ASTAWDE-O’KAL LAAHA AYYOHAL EMAAMO

I entrust you with Allah, O Leader

الَّذِي يَفُوزُ بِهِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ

ALLAZEE YAFOOZO BEHIL MOAMENOONA

through whom the believers will win

وَيَهْلِكُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ الْكَافِرُونَ الْمُكَذِّبُونَ

WA YAHLEKO A’LAA YADAYHIL KAAFEROONAL MOKAZZEBOONA

and at whose hands the belying unbelievers will perish.

يَا مَوْلَايَ يَا بْنَ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ

YAA MAWLAAYA YABNAL HASANIBNE A’LIYYIN

O my master! O son of al-Hasan the son of `Ali,

جِئْتُكَ زَائِراً لَكَ وَلَابِيكَ وَجَدِّكَ

JEATOKA ZAAA-ERAL LAKA WA LE-ABEEKA WA JADDEKA

I have come to you visiting you, your father, and your grandfather,

مُتَيَقِّناً الْفَوْزَ بِكُمْ

MOTAYAQQENANIL FAWZA BEKUM

being certain of winning through you,

مُعْتَقِداً اِِمَامَتَكُمْ

MO’TAQEDAN EMAAMATAKUM

and having full faith in your Imamate.

اَللّٰهُمَّ اكْتُبْ هٰذِهِ الشَّهَادَةَ وَالزِّيَارَةَ لِي

ALLAAHUMMAK TUB HAAZEHISH SHAHAADATA WAZ ZEYAARATA LEE

O Allah, (please) write down this testimony and visitation to me

عِنْدَكَ فِي عِلِّيِّينَ

I’NDAKA FEE I’LLIYYEENA

with You in the Most Elevated Place,

وَبَلِّغْنِي بَلَاغَ الصَّالِحِينَ

WA BALLIGHNEE BALAAGHAS SAALEHEENA

make me attain that which is attained by the righteous ones,

وَانْفَعْنِي بِحُبِّهِمْ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ

WAN FA’NEE BE-HUBBEHIM YAA RABBAL A’ALAMEENA

and make me benefit by my love for them, O Lord of the Worlds.

Ziyarat by Sayyid Ibn Tawus

Another Form of Ziyarah reported by Sayyid Ibn Tawus:

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ الْحَقِّ الْجَدِيدِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAL HAQQIL JADEEDE

Peace be upon the fresh truth

وَالْعَالِمِ الَّذِي عِلْمُهٗ لََا يَبِيدُ

WAL A’ALEMIL LAZEE I’LMOHU LAA YABEEDO

and the knowledgeable whose knowledge never expires.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ مُحْيِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA MOHYIL MOAMENEENA

Peace be upon the reviver of the believers

وَمُبِيرِ الْكَافِرِينَ

WA MOBEERIL KAAFEREENA

and the terminator of the unbelievers.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ مَهْدِيِّ الاُمَمِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA MAHDIYYIL OMAME

Peace be upon the restorer of all nations

وَجَامِعِ الْكَلِمِ

WA JAAME-I’L KALEME

and the combiner of all creeds.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ خَلَفِ السَّلَفِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA KHALAFIS SALAFE

Peace be upon the successor of the ancestors

وَصَاحِبِ الشَّرَفِ

WA SAAHEBISH SHARAFE

and the owner of honor.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ حُجَّةِ الْمَعْبُودِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA HUJJATIL MA’BOODE

Peace be upon the argument of the Worshipped (Lord)

وَكَلِمَةِ الْمَحْمُودِ

WA KALEMATIL MAHMOODE

and the Word of the Praised (Lord).

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ مُعِزِّ الَاوْلِيَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA MO-I’ZZIL AWLEYAAA-E

Peace be upon the consolidator of the intimate servants (of God)

وَمُذِلِّ الَاعْدَاءِ

WA MOZILLIL A-A’DAAA-E

and the humiliator of the enemies.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ وَارِثِ الَانْبِيَاءِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA WAARESIL ANBEYAAA-E

Peace be upon the inheritor of the Prophets

وَخَاتِمِ الَاوْصِيَاءِ

WA KHAATEMIL AWSEYAAA-E

and the seal of the (Prophets’) successors.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ الْقَائِمِ الْمُنْتَظَرِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAL QAAA-EMIL MUNTAZARE

Peace be upon the Rising (Imam), the awaited,

وَالْعَدْلِ الْمُشْتَهَرِ

WAL A’DLIL MUSHTAHARE

and the famed establisher of justice.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ السَّيْفِ الشَّاهِرِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAS SAYFISH SHAAHERE

Peace be upon the unsheathed sword,

وَالْقَمَرِ الزَّاهِرِ

WAL QAMARIZ ZAAHERE

the brilliant moon,

وَالنُّوُرِ الْبَاهِرِ

WAN NOORIL BAAHERE

and the dazzling light.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ شَمْسِ الظَّلَامِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA SHAMSIZ ZALAAME

Peace be upon the sun of darkness

وَبَدْرِ التَّمَامِ

WA BADRIT TAMAAME

and the absolutely full moon.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ رَبِيعِ الَانَامِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA RABEE-I’L ANAAME

Peace be upon the springtime of humanity

وَنَضْرَةِ الَايَّامِ

WA NAZRATIL AYYAAME

and the bloom of days.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ صَاحِبِ الصَّمْصَامِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA SAAHEBIS SAMSAAME

Peace be upon the holder of sharp sword

وَفَلَّاقِ الْهَامِ

WA FALLAAQIL HAAME

and the splitter of heads.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ الدِّينِ الْمَاْثُورِ

ASSALAAMO A’LAD DEENIL MAASOORE

Peace be upon the long-established faith

وَالْكِتَابِ الْمَسْطُورِ

WAL KETAABIL MASTOORE

and the scripture inscribed.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ بَقِيَّةِ اللّٰهِ فِي بِلَادِهٖ

ASSALAAMO A’LAA BAQIYYATIL LAAHE FEE BELAADEHI

Peace be upon the Remnant of Allah (Baqiyyatullah) in His lands

وَحُجَّتِهٖ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ

WA HUJJATEHI A’LAA E’BAADEHI

and the argument of Him against His servants

الْمُنْتَهِي اِِلَيْهِ مَوَارِيثُ الَانْبِيَاءِ

ALMUNTAHEE ELAYHE MAWAAREESUL ANBEYAAA-E

to whom the inheritances of the Prophets end

وَلَدَيْهِ مَوْجوُدٌ آثَارُ الَاصْفِيَاءِ

WA LADAYHE MAWJOODUN AASAARUL ASFEYAAA-E

and with whom the traditions of the elite ones are kept.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ الْمُؤْتَمَنِ عَلَىٰ السِّرِّ

ASSALAAMO A’LAL MOATAMANE A’LAS SIRRE

Peace be upon the one entrusted with the secret

وَالْوَلِيِّ لِلَامْرِ

WAL WALIYYE LIL-AMRE

and the one who shall undertake the mission.

اَلسَّلَامُ عَلَىٰ الْمَهْدِيِّ

ASSALAAMO A’LAL MAHDIYYE

Peace be upon al-Mahdi (the rightly guided)

الَّذِي وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِ الاُمَمَ

ALLAZEE WA-A’DAL LAAHO A’ZZA WA JALLA BEHIL OMAMA

through whom Allah the Almighty and All-majestic promised the nations

اَنْ يَجْمَعَ بِهِ الْكَلِمَ

AN-Y YAJMA-A’ BEHIL KALEMA

to combine all decrees,

وَيَلُمَّ بِهِ الشَّعَثَ

WA YALUMMA BEHISH SHA-A’SA

to bring together all scattered matters,

وَيَمْلَاَ بِهِ الَارْضَ قِسْطاً وَعَدْلَاً

WA YAMLA-A BEHIL ARZA QISTANW WA A’DLAN

to fill the earth with fairness and justice,

وَيُمَكِّنَ لَهٗ

WA YOMAKKENA LAHU

to make possible for him (to win over the all),

وَيُنْجِزَ بِهٖ وَعْدَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

WA YUNJEZA BEHI WA’DAL MOAMENEENA

and to fulfill His promise to the believers.

اَشْهَدُ يَا مَوْلَايَ

ASH-HADO YAA MAWLAAYA

I bear witness, O my master,

اَنَّكَ وَالَائِمَّةَ مِنْ آبَائِكَ

ANNAKA WAL A-IMMATA MIN AABAAA-EKA

that you and the Imams, your fathers,

اَئِمَّتِي وَمَوَالِيَّ

A-IMMATEE WA MAWAALIYYA

are my leaders and masters

فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الَاشْهَادُ

FIL HAYAATID DUNYAA WA YAWMA YAQOOMUL ASH-HAADO

in this worldly life and on the day when the Witnesses will rise (to witness).

اَسْاَلُكَ يَا مَوْلَايَ

AS-ALOKA YAA MAWLAAYA

I thus ask you, O my master,

اَنْ تَسْاَلَ اللّٰهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَىٰ

AN TAS-ALAL LAAHA TABAARAKA WA TA-A’ALAA

to ask Allah the All-blessed and All-exalted

فِي صَلَاحِ شَاْنِي

FEE SALAAHE SHAANEE

to set aright all my affairs,

وَقَضَاءِ حَوَائِجِي

WA QAZAAA-E HAWAAA-EJEE

to grant me all my needs,

وَغُفْرَانِ ذُنُوبِي

WA GHUFRAANE ZONOOBEE

to forgive my sins,

وَالَاخْذِ بِيَدِي

WAL AKHZE BE-YADEE

and to lead me rightly

فِي دِينِي وَدُنْيَايَ وَآخِرَتِي

FEE DEENEE WA DUNYAAYA WA AAKHERATEE

in the affairs of my faith, worldly life, and the Next Life,

لِي وَلاِِِخْوَانِي وَاَخَوَاتِي الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ كَافَّةً

LEE WA LE-IKHWAANEE WA AKHAWAATIL MOAMENEENA WAL MOAMENAATE KAAFFATAN

as well as the affairs of my all believing brothers and sisters.

اِِنَّهٗ غَفوُرٌ رَحِيمٌ

INNAHU GHAFOORUR RAHEEMUN

Verily, He is All-forgiving, All-merciful.

You may then offer the twelve-unit prayer of ziyarah, separating between each two units with a Taslim statement (i.e. the last part of prayers). You may then utter the (famous) Tasbih al-Zahra' litany and provide all that as present to the Imam. Upon accomplishment, you may say the following prayer:

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ حُجَّتِكَ فِي اَرْضِكَ

ALLAAHUMMA SALLE A’LAA HUJJATEKA FEE ARZEKA

O Allah, (please) bless Your Argument in Your land,

وَخَلِيفَتِكَ فِي بِلَادِكَ

WA KHALEEFATEKA FEE BELAADEKA

Your representative in Your countries,

الدَّاعِي اِلَىٰ سَبِيلِكَ

ADDAA-E’E ELAA SABEELEKA

the caller to Your way,

وَالْقَائِمِ بِقِسْطِكَ

WAL QAAA-EME BE-QISTEKA

the establisher of Your justice,

وَالْفَائِزِ بِاَمْرِكَ

WAL FAAA-EZE BE-AMREKA

the winner of Your decree,

وَلِيِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

WALIYYIL MOAMENEENA

the guardian of the believers,

وَمُبِيرِ الْكَافِرِينَ

WA MOBEERIL KAAFEREENA

the terminator of the unbelievers,

وَمُجَلِّي الظُّلْمَةِ

WA MOJALLIZ ZULMATE

the eliminator of darkness,

وَمُنِيرِ الْحَقِّ

WA MONEERIL HAQQE

the illuminator of the truth,

وَالصَّادِعِ بِالْحِكْمةِ

WAS SAADE-E’ BIL-HIKMATE

the expounder with wisdom,

وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَالصِّدْقِ

WAL MAW-E’ZATIL HASANATE WAS SIDQE

excellent exhortation, and veracity,

وَكَلمَتِكَ وَعَيْبَتِكَ

WA KALEMATEKA WA A’YBATEKA

Your Word, the carrier of Your secrets,

وَعَيْنِكَ فِي اَرْضِكَ

WA A’YNEKA FEE ARZEKA

Your Eye in Your lands,

الْمُتَرَقِّبِ الْخَائِفِ

ALMOTARAQQEBIL KHAAA-EFE

the vigilant, the afraid,

الْوَلِيِّ النَّاصِحِ

ALWALIYYIN NAASEHE

the sincere vicegerent,

سَفِينَةِ النَّجَاةِ

SAFEENATIN NAJAATE

the ark of salvation,

وَعَلَمِ الْهُدَىٰ

WA A’LAMIL HODAA

the pennon of right guidance,

وَنُورِ اَبْصَارِ الْوَرَىٰ

WA NOORE ABSAARIL WARAA

the light of the eyes of all creatures,

وَخَيْرِ مَنْ تَقَمَّصَ وَارْتَدَىٰ

WA KHAYRE MAN TAQAMMASA WAR TADAA

the best of all those who dress shirts and garments,

وَالْوِتْرِ الْمَوْتُورِ

WAL WITRIL MAWTOORE

the unique whose folks have not been avenged yet,

وَمُفَرِّجِ الْكُرَبِ

WA MOFARREJIL KORABE

the reliever of agonies,

وَمُزِيلِ الْهَمَّ

WA MOZEELIL HAMME

the remover of distress,

وَكَاشِفِ الْبَلْوَىٰ

WA KAASHEFIL BALWAA

and the mitigator of ordeals.

صَلَوَاتُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِ

SALAWAATUL LAAHE A’LAYHE

Allah’s blessings be incessantly upon him

وَعَلَىٰ آبَائِهِ الَائِمَّةِ الْهَادِينَ

WA A’LAA AABAAA-EHIL A-IMMATIL HAADEENA

and upon his fathers, the guiding Imams

وَالْقَادَةِ الْمَيَامِينِ

WAL QAADATIL MAYAAMEENE

and the blessed leaders

مَا طَلَعَتْ كَوَاكِبُ الَاسْحَارِ

MAA TALA-A’T KAWAAKEBUL AS-HAARE

whenever stars of early dawn rise,

وَاَوْرَقَتِ الَاشْجَارُ

WA AWRAQATIL ASHJAARO

trees are furnished with leaves,

وَاَينَعَتِ الَاثْمَارُ

WA AYNA-A’TIL ASMAARO

fruits are yielded,

وَاخْتَلَفَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ

WAKH TALAFAL LAYLO WAN NAHAARO

night and day follow each other,

وغَرَّدَتِ الَاطْيَارُ

WA GHARRADATIL ATYAARO

and birds warble.

اَللّٰهُمَّ انْفَعْنَا بِحُبِّهٖ

ALLAAHUMMAN FA’NAA BE-HUBBEHI

O Allah, (please) make us benefit by our love for him

وَاحْشُرْنَا فِي زُمْرَتِهٖ

WAH SHURNAA FEE ZUMRATEHI

and gather us in his group

وَتَحْتَ لِوَائِهٖ

WA TAHTA LE-WAAA-EHI

and under his pennon.

اِلٰهَ الْحَقِّ آمِينَ
